Linus leads the ride
In/around circle….. if raining meet at covered area of Abernethy Elementary School
Aw
Fri, Jan 2, 2026, 7:00 PM
Meet 7ish. Ride 8 ish.
Find your bike Every Friday Night. We meet at Ladds circle, in the circle. If it is raining, head down to the covered area of Abernethy Elementary School. Ride slowly meets at 7 pm and departs roughly at 7:45/8ish pm. An honorary 3 minutes of Ladd laps (Ding Ding Ride/Ladd500) and then we send it. Sometimes we have guest ride leaders. Friday Night Rides are different every time. Sometimes we go to other rides happening around town during the summer. End of ride fires/good vibes/respect/no jerks/ We are a community. Respect each other! No aggressive, sexist, racist, or any other kind of BS will be tolerated. Violations against the code of conduct will be reported to shift2bikes. If you ride Sur-Ron/powerful electric bikes this is not the ride for you. You can come but you might be heckled. This is a bicycle ride. Bring lights/locks/responsible vibes/a cup/ Casual pace with some extra zip 10-20ish mile rides with store stops/park stops/art stops NOT NECESSARILY A NO DROP RIDE… ESPECIALLY IN THE FALL/WINTER/SPRING. Be careful of slippery roads/leafs on ground/pot holes. Call out road hazards to help bike friends stay safe. 1st Friday is bottle share night. (bottle of wine/crazy beer/kombucha/coconut water/fizzy waters/anything you like to drink/want to share) 2nd Fridays are MMR - later night vibes to make it to Midnight Mystery Ride. If you want to lead a ride just ask! REPEAT… NOT NECESSARILY A NO DROP RIDE… ESPECIALLY IN THE FALL/WINTER/SPRING. Guest ride leaders wanted and appreciated! Instagram @fridaynightride

10:10am roll
Maria the Bicycle Kitty
Sat, Jan 3, 2026, 10:00 AM
We roll at 10:10am
Ride is a loop
Ride length: 15+ miles
Ladies (trans ladies this means you too!) on regular bicycles are welcome to join our monthly ride. This ride is "no dudes, no e-bikes, no offense". I welcome e-bikes on the many other rides I organize, but they are not a good fit for this ride. If that makes you mad, please feel free to join one of the many rides on the Shift calendar (some of which welcome only e-bikes!). We always meet at the northern end of the trolley trail at SE 17th Avenue & SE St Andrews Drive, across from the Goodwill Bins and very close to the Springwater Trail - about a half mile from the Orange Line MAX (Johnson Creek/Tacoma stop). Some riders have trouble finding this for the first time, so you might consider studying the map before you head there. We're usually a small group of 4-6-8 riders. Our pace will be approximately 12-14mph, slower if it's super wet or on hillz. It's important to me to stay in front to set the pace, so please stay behind (or next to!) me. If even one rider goes off the front, it's contagious and soon we're dropping folks, which is the opposite of what our chill squad is about. Let's ride together as a group please. Our rest stops will be at parks with bathrooms and water spigots. We will not be stopping at any stores or cafes or restaurants, so be sure to bring enough snacks for yourself. It's also helpful if you can carry a small repair kit and spare tube (even if you are riding tubeless or don't know how to fix a flat). We can choose together at the start which one of these routes we'd like to ride: Eastside River Loop, 23 miles, 1020' gain, includes a mile hike-a-bike section https://ridewithgps.com/routes/53012294 Happy Valley Industrial, 25 miles, 1000' gain, all paved Best on Sundays https://ridewithgps.com/routes/52585762 Salish Ponds, 27 miles, 500' gain, all paved except for gravel path into Salish Park Great for rainy days https://ridewithgps.com/routes/51303515 East to Binford Trail, 22 miles, 600' gain, all paved except for 1/2 mile path Springwater Trail to a gorgeous trail in the woods https://ridewithgps.com/routes/51201436 Aldercrest Classic, 20 miles, 800' gain, all paved The route that started it all! https://ridewithgps.com/routes/49133783 Hidden Falls, 30 miles, 1300' gain, all paved except path into Hidden Falls Pretty view of the falls https://ridewithgps.com/routes/48697900 West Riverside Loop, 23 miles, 1300' gain, less than 2 miles on wooded paths Not great for rainy days, starts with a climb https://ridewithgps.com/routes/44932165 Happy Valley Cutties, 17 miles, 600' gain, less than 2 miles on gravel paths Features some strange but fun nature cut throughs https://ridewithgps.com/routes/43720667 East to Boring, 35 miles, 700' gain, all paved Our longest ride, great for rainy days as we can easily cut it short https://ridewithgps.com/routes/42299988 Oregon City Viewpoints, 25 miles, 1200' gain, all paved Views and car-free Waterboard Park, not great for rainy days https://ridewithgps.com/routes/42176352

Sun, Jan 4, 2026, 10:00 AM
Arrive as early as 10 to start loading, the goal is to roll around 11
End location: Tim's new house, NE Hillsboro
Ride length: 0-3 miles
New year, new (to me) house! I (Tim) am moving across Hillsboro. The route is ~2mi mostly flat and mostly on neighborhood streets. All bikes are cargo bikes but regardless of how much you carry we will also need corkers for a couple cross streets. I will bribe you with vegan chilli for lunch. I am hoping for good weather but I will be moving at least some things this day regardless of weather, except snow/ice, so if you can bring a tarp or other means of keeping rain off stuff being moved, please do.

Ride is a loop
Welcome to Mellow Mondays 2026. Are you interested in leading a ride? This is a supportive and organized way to lead for the first time. Every week there’s different themes but there are constants…. Slow pace, about 8 mph, Distant varies but approx 10 miles, Family friendly, We practice consent and non-violence on all our rides, Store stop for safe clean bathroom access but generally we try and make these stops short, Skater friendly (but please check with ride leader about crunchy or potential issues for skates), ALL Wheels friendly (scooter, skates, skateboard, e bikes etc), Ride is always a loop, Corking and traffic intersections are calm. Be mindful of smoking around others and do not smoke around children. FAQ, Can I bring a speaker? Yes but please speak to the ride leader and play the music they’ve carefully selected or what their preference is. Can I lead a ride? Yes, please attend a few first and get a feel for how the rides are. I’ve heard NakedHearts supports other rides? Yes, we can help with planning, encouragement, promotion, sound support and what not. What do you mean you practice consent? We ask everyone (even friends, relatives, husbands and wives with each other) to ask for permission before touching anyone else or their belongings and when asking to seek listen and empower ‘No’. What do you mean you practice Non-violence? We specifically expect everyone to be calm, kind and respectful with all car interactions. One riders aggression to a car driver can put everyone else at risk. We live in a small city and are bound to encounter the same drivers again. Are all your rides a protest? Yes, being together with respect and acceptance and finding comfort and joy around others and strangers is an act of protest against the divisive paradigm we are in.

Meet at 7:00, announcements around 7:30. 🕢 After 7:30, follow us to the next stop.
End location: Not a loop, but usually with a fire.
Thursday Night Ride is Portland’s longest-running weekly social ride, riding every Thursday night since 2015! Routes and ride leaders change weekly, but expect an energetic party-paced “rolling dive bar” of a ride for newcomers and regulars alike. Most rides will feature park and store stops, but come prepared to have fun and celebrate cycling together—other wheeled guests should respect the pace and space of cyclists. New leadership, same positive vibes. While you might expect some wheelies and other chaos, riders are expected to follow Shift’s Code of Conduct, and if you’re banned from any Shift rides, TNR isn’t for you. No complaints, just accountability—if your behavior makes others feel uncomfortable or unsafe, please leave the ride before the ride leaves you. Riders should practice consent, accountability, respect, and de-escalation at all times. Stay behind the ride leader and don’t forget to thank a corker! 📍 Salmon Street Springs, every Thursday, rain or shine. 🕖 Meet at 7:00, announcements by 7:30, leave after “Beer Minutes.” 🕢 If you’re not at the fountain by 7:30, you may want to meet us at the next stop. 🧭 Live Location: https://ridewithgps.com/users/1303039/live_log ✨Be an Empowered Bystander✨ See something off? Step up in a way that feels right for you: 🗣️ Direct: If it’s safe, say *That's Not Right* for TNR. 🎭 Distract: Change the vibe and give them an out 🙋🏽 Delegate: Get help from a ride leader or trusted friend ⏳ Delay: Check in with the person afterwards 📝 Document: Write down what happened
⛲️ If you have any questions, concerns, or just want to get involved, come early and ask for the ride leader—we’ll see you at the fountain!

Meet at the Fountain or Gazebo (weather-dependent)
Corvidae BC
Sun, Jan 11, 2026, 1:00 PM
Meet at 1PM. Roll out at 2PM
Established in 2017, we ride once a month to enjoy what this city has to offer. Each month is led by a different CORVIDAE member, and therefore will be unique. We occasionally have themes or additional donations to different organizations. Additionally, host pop-up rides during the summer and collect dry non perishables for food donations every month. We try to focus our rides on greenways, group etiquette, safety measures and general comradery. In addition to bike safety and accessibility, we want to promote using bicycles as an alternative to fossil fueled travel within Portland. This is a no-drop ride, but please bring your repair kit with a spare tube so we can keep the ride rolling. Please bring your own provisions; we’ll be stopping near stores, but not at them. Each member has an eye out for the crowd, will cork, sweep and be a general pillar of support. Ride pace is casual at around 10 miles with a few park stops. We aim to impress that this is a safe environment for all; no aggressive, sexist, racist, or any other kind of BS will be tolerated. Please review our Corvidae Code of Conduct. Meet 2nd Sunday of every month Hang at 1 PM Wheels down at 2 PM sharp Bring your respect for each and the city. Leave no trace 🤘🏽
