Ride with friends in a welcoming environment! Every Thursday ride is a loop. We are always no-drop and will attempt to help riders with mechanical issues. ***NOTE ON WINTER RIDES*** Rides during the winter months will be subject to weather conditions and ride leader availability. Please check back here the day of the ride for up-to-date info. We'll try to update this listing by noon the day of the ride if it isn't happening, but cancelations may occur closer to ride time. The first Thursday of each month will be masks-required. This ride aims to be a safer space. We take the code of conduct seriously and do not allow harassment, violence, racism, bigotry, threats, or other actions that go against the code of conduct. Always ask for consent before touching another person or their belongings. If you experience or witness an issue, please alert a ride leader. Banned riders are banned here. For over 20 years, Breakfast on the Bridges has been offering up free coffee and goodies to people biking, walking, scooting and boarding across Portland's bridges. Generally the last Friday of every month, look for our special events during Pedalpalooza and December!

Find your bike Every Friday Night. We meet at Ladds circle, in the circle. If it is raining, head down to the covered area of Abernethy Elementary School. Ride slowly meets at 7 pm and departs roughly at 7:45/8ish pm. An honorary 3 minutes of Ladd laps (Ding Ding Ride/Ladd500) and then we send it. Sometimes we have guest ride leaders. Friday Night Rides are different every time. Sometimes we go to other rides happening around town during the summer. End of ride fires/good vibes/respect/no jerks/ We are a community. Respect each other! No aggressive, sexist, racist, or any other kind of BS will be tolerated. Violations against the code of conduct will be reported to shift2bikes. If you ride Sur-Ron/powerful electric bikes this is not the ride for you. You can come but you might be heckled. This is a bicycle ride. Bring lights/locks/responsible vibes/a cup/ Casual pace with some extra zip 10-20ish mile rides with store stops/park stops/art stops NOT NECESSARILY A NO DROP RIDE… ESPECIALLY IN THE FALL/WINTER/SPRING. Be careful of slippery roads/leafs on ground/pot holes. Call out road hazards to help bike friends stay safe. 1st Friday is bottle share night. (bottle of wine/crazy beer/kombucha/coconut water/fizzy waters/anything you like to drink/want to share) 2nd Fridays are MMR - later night vibes to make it to Midnight Mystery Ride. SE Clinton St/26 Ave at 10:10 am (ride at 10:15) 3. Tilikum Bridge at PDX Opera ~10:25 am; leaving from Tilikum location ~10:30 am 4. Arrive at PSU Market ~11 am Ride is on every Saturday the market is open (year round except weekend between Christmas and New Year). We will make every effort to note weather-related closures here promptly.

Chevron aids/profits from genocide and spends millions annually on lobbying politicians to look the other way as it sets the world on fire. If the burning world makes your blood boil, COME JOIN US for a fun & rousing protest-by-bike, happening as part of the BDS weekend of action against Chevron! Meet us at Ladd's circle at 1:30 and ride out with us at 1:45 to go to some Chevron locations, where we'll stop for energetic mini-protests. We'll make a lot of noise but keep things peaceful & safe for all. Keffiyehs, Palestinian flags, and protest signs encouraged! Our final stop will have hot drinks, snacks, music and some activities/education to inspire everyone to keep the action against Chevron alive beyond the weekend. Ride will be easy-paced, about 4 miles, all wheels/all riders welcome. Our route will take us from Ladd's to downtown and end near Lloyd. UPDATE: there's snow in the forecast! Depending on what things look like Saturday night, I may reschedule this ride to early March - stay tuned! You are invited to join the 15th annual Caddyshack ! - BIll Murray tribute ride. We meet at 12pm and will depart PUNCTUALLY at 12:15pm. First 30 riders get a spoke card. If you're late, maybe you can catch us by following the route link below. We meet at the I-205 bike path where it meets the entry to the I-205 bridge path. This is across from the Home Depot on Glenn Widing Way - you can see it marked as a "POI" (point of interest) on the route map: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/31874092 We'll ride past golf courses over 25 mostly flat miles, at a pace of around 15mph. We will have regroup stops but may drop some folks, so please consider downloading the route and/or take one of the paper maps handed out at the start. Please stay behind the ride leader at all times. There will be a lunch stop at a golf club halfway through (no locks needed, our bikes will be visible on their deck).

Our instagram is nakedHeartspdx so you can see how we ride. Weekly themed rides. Different ride leaders each week, but you can expect the ride to be social paced (8ish mph), no-drop, safe and welcoming, store stop with safe clean bathroom access and the ride is always a loop. We practice consent and non-violence specially with car interactions, what one ride does affects how all rides get treated. The Mellow Mondays are a space for (new) ride leaders to try out ideas in a very supported environment. You’ll often see Mondays rides appearing again during the warmer riding season. We follow the shift code of conduct and expect everyone to be respectful of themselves and others around them. This is so we can actually relax and have fun and connect with each other in a softer space. This isn’t a sober ride but we ask for moderation to keep the atmosphere relaxed. We recommend Abraham Fixes bikes in N Williams and NomadCycles (e-bike specialist) for repairs/sales and parts. Our friends over at RideSafePDX host regular ride and we’ recommend those as a pleasant warm group to ride with.

For those of you who can't make it on Wednesday to Rainbow Plaza or for those of you who need a 2nd day of community building, or for those of you who like/love to drink wine... Tapas Tuesday, inspired by Bike Happy Hour on Wednesday, is a place where anyone can show up and be embraced (not literally, unless you're a hugger!) by our wonderful community. Just show up and hang out. That's it! All ages are welcome but there is only street parking and bike racks where you can park bikes and displace cars if you want. No coloring books (sorry Jonathan :/ ) or crayons for the kiddos, but feel free to bring your own activities: puzzles, chess, games, GUITARS, castanets, whatever! Bar Botellon Tapas Menu

We ride bikes in Southeast Portland. We start on foster at the Mercado. Next to the 1 year old burnt down barrio. If you can support the food carts before we head out on the bike ride we meet up at 7:30 and We ride out at 8pm. We have guests ride leaders often. Please come prepared. Bring your lights maybe a spare tube patch kit tools to do such. Don't litter they are homeless not your can butler's. Be kind to all travelers, everybody's got places to go things to do, and everybody wants to make it home in the end.

Bike Happy Hour

Whether you knew Bob or not, please come CELEBRATE LIFE as we honor a cyclist who recently passed. We will ride from his work in downtown to his favorite stop, the Tilikum Crossing bridge and back making a loop. We at BikeLoud didn't know him, but he sounded like a really cool guy and didn't want his death to go un-noticed in the cycling community. We learned a little about him to share… Bob Spingler was a beloved employee of Dan & Louis Oyster Bar who sadly passed away on 12/4, following a bike crash on his way home from work on 11/21. He had a zest for life and vibrancy, shown in his wild clothes, body ink and jewelry. Bob rode a custom motorcycle cruiser for over 50 years, only recently changing to riding an e-bike. He liked weed, and loved Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Band and especially, King Crimson, with their album cover tattooed on his chest. His sister said, “Bob went to Woodstock in 1969 and never came back!”. He had spent time in many different parts of the US, and lived in Portland for the last 10 years. The story of how he got hired at Oyster Bar is funny and inspiring! His best friend shared, “[At age 75,] besides arthritis, he had the body and energy of a 35 year old. Cycling is what kept him young. One thing especially fascinating was how he talked to absolutely everyone. Being at a restaurant or on the street with him, literally anyone walking by would get a genuine “how you doing?””. Because Bob loved stopping to hang out on the Tilikum Crossing on his way home from work, we will ride from the Oyster Bar to the Crossing with his favorite music playing, stopping to cast flowers into the river, then riding back to the restaurant. Bob’s coworkers and friends are having a Celebration of Life memorial for him at the restaurant at 4pm. We will meet outside at 5:30, and ride out at 6pm. The North Portland Library has reopened after more than 1.5 years of renovations! Celebrate its grand reopening with a family-friendly bike ride to our beautifully remodeled neighborhood library. Meet at 9am at Grand Central Bakery on Fremont. There will be time for you to purchase your morning coffee and pastries - don't forget to BYO travel mug! We will roll out by 9:30. It's an easy ~1 mile ride to the library, where we will arrive in time to enjoy some of the opening day festivities, including the Jefferson Dancers who will be performing from 9:45 - 11am. This ride is short and sweet, and I hope you can join!
