Thursday Night Ride is Portland’s longest-running weekly social ride, rolling out from Salmon Street Springs every Thursday night since 2015! Routes and ride leaders change weekly, but expect an energetic, party-paced social ride with warmth and weirdness from our welcoming “rolling dive bar” regulars. Most rides feature regularly spaced park and store stops, generally leading to a lively end spot around 11 PM. Come prepared to have fun and celebrate cycling together—other wheeled guests should respect the pace and space of cyclists. Strong Thursday traditions, stronger shared expectations. While you might see some wheelies and other chaos, riders are expected to follow Shift’s Code of Conduct. If you’ve been asked not to attend *any* Shift rides, you are not welcome at TNR—that’s not up for debate on our ride. No complaints, just accountability—if your behavior makes others feel uncomfortable or unsafe, please leave the ride before the ride leaves you. Friday night ride is a social ride for people who enjoy a sporty pace and adventurous routes. Every ride is different but generally range between 15 and 25 miles and you can expect some climbing and higher speeds than your average pedalpalooza ride. NOT NECESSARILY A NO DROP RIDE. Riders should be self sufficient and have a plan for getting themselves home. This is a bicycle-forward group ride. Pedal-assist ebikes are ok (class 1 & 2). Throttle heavy, high speed battery powered motor bikes are not (class 3 & 4). If you're not pedaling it’s not a bicycle and you will asked to leave. Join Columbia Slough Watershed Council and the Portland Water Bureau for a free 17 mile bike ride through Portland's Columbia South Shore Well Field! Experts from the Portland Water Bureau and Columbia Slough Watershed Council will lead this moderately paced and scenic trip. Our group will be making frequent stops to break up the ride and offer opportunities for conversation about how groundwater provides flexibility and reliability to the City’s water supply, and how we can all protect this important resource. Minors must be 12 years or older and accompanied by an adult. Please register in advance. Check in begins at 8:15, event begins at 8:45. Getting There: Check in opens at 8:15, please do not arrive prior. We'll be starting and ending our ride at Aloft. Free parking is available. Taking public transportation? The Cascades Max Station is 0.2 miles from Aloft. Or, participants can ride bus #87 to NE 105th & Simpson St located 0.9 miles from Aloft. What to bring: Pack along water, any necessary snacks and come prepared for the weather - we will be riding rain or shine. Helmets will be required for all riders throughout the event. Join us for May's Bike Milwaukie ride. One of our most popular rides in 2024 was the Milwaukie History Ride, so we thought it fitting to bring it back with a 2026 edition. The ride will celebrate some of Milwaukie's history and include a stop at the newly refreshed Milwaukie Museum and the Milwaukie Cemetery. This ride will be a slow social pace and family friendly. Monthly ladies only ride (trans ladies this means you too!) This ride is "no dudes, no e-bikes, no offense". I welcome e-bikes on the many other rides I organize, but they are not a good fit for this ride. We always meet at the northern end of the trolley trail at SE 17th Avenue & SE St Andrews Drive, across from the Goodwill Bins and very close to the Springwater Trail - about a half mile from the Orange Line MAX (Johnson Creek/Tacoma stop). We're usually a small group of 4-6-8 riders. Our pace will be approximately 12-14mph, slower if it's super wet or on hillz. Please stay behind (or beside) me so I may set our pace. If even one rider goes off the front, it's contagious and soon we're dropping folks, which is the opposite of what our chill squad is about. 10 Bridges 20 Miles Bring water and lights! If you’ve been looking to “bridge” the gap from intermediate to advanced skating, or hit a new mileage PR, what better way than a ripper tour of (most) of the Bridges of Bridge city? From Sellwood to Broadway, and a few bridges you might not think count but they do! This is an intermediate paced skate route with advanced distance. Speed/hill control, some mixed terrain skills, and comfort on city streets will be needed but there nothing outside the norm of Wednesday Intermediate Skate night. We’ll have multiple rest points with a longer break mid-route at Hawthorne Asylum Carts for boba, water, bathroom, etc. This is a good spot for anyone that wants to jump in or out as well. All wheels welcome if you want to cruise along on a bike. Please note this is an inline skater lead route.

It's summer and the weather is gorgeous right now - in other words, the perfect time of year to crush some hills! Join Ride Westside as we lead a ride from Beaverton Central to tackle two of the highest points in the PDX metro - the summits of Pittock Mansion and Council Crest! We'll grab a breather at the top of both locations, fill up our water bottles, grab some pictures, and then loop back to Beaverton Central, finishing up at BG's for a well-deserved lunch and beverage. This ride will be significantly more challenging than most of Ride Westside's group rides. The proposed route will take us over 20 miles and 2,000 feet of total elevation gain. Climbs will vary anywhere from 3-7% on average, with some short segments (~200 feet) around 10%. The descent from Pittock Mansion is also quite steep with switchbacks and gradients of -10% in some places. There will also be short segments that will require taking the lane on windy ascending roads where cars may not easily be able to pass the group. Please note that this is *not* strictly a no-drop ride. We will do our best to adjust the pace as required to accommodate the group, but the goal will be to finish the route in 2.5 to 3 hours - arrive at BGs by 12 pm at latest. We will need to keep an overall 10 mph average pace (slower when climbing and faster when descending) while also factoring in breaks at the summits. Please consider your own abilities, limitations, and comfort level with sustained climbs before the ride and have a backup plan to get back home in case you need to turn around. We also want to emphasize that your bike should be in good working order for this ride. The descent from Pittock Mansion in particular is pretty steep, so make sure your brakes are in good shape. E-bike riders are certainly welcome, but please factor in the risk of your motor overheating over the sustained climbs - know what your bike is capable of and have a backup plan in the event of a motor overheat before you join this ride. Bring plenty of snacks, water, and sunscreen! Lastly, please note that this ride is subject to rescheduling depending on the weather conditions. If we get rain and the pavement is wet, we'll have to reschedule to avoid the risk of wiping out on those steep descents from Pittock Mansion. Hope to see you all there! Yes, please attend a few first and get a feel for how the rides are. I’ve heard NakedHearts supports other rides? Yes, we can help with planning, encouragement, promotion, sound support and what not. What do you mean you practice consent? We ask everyone (even friends, relatives, husbands and wives with each other) to ask for permission before touching anyone else or their belongings and when asking to seek listen and empower ‘No’. What do you mean you practice Non-violence? We specifically expect everyone to be calm, kind and respectful with all car interactions. One riders aggression to a car driver can put everyone else at risk. We live in a small city and are bound to encounter the same drivers again. Are all your rides a protest? A chill ride for the fair weather folks. You're welcome to bring a speaker, request a specific route, or stop for a free pile. Default is cruising around bike lanes. Banned riders are banned here. Do not touch other people or their stuff without consent. Please don't smoke near the group. If there are skaters, we'll loop back to the start.

*Winter/spring location: Migration Brewing on N Williams Ave.* Join other bike-minded folks for drinks, food and community every Wednesday from 3-6 (or so). Bike Happy Hour is a place where everyone is welcomed and embraced by our community. Just show up and hang out. That's it! Bike Happy Hour

All electric rides welcome: e-bikes, Surrons, Onewheels, scooters, electric unicycles, whatever you've got with a motor or a battery. We're mobbing around Portland, exploring the city with cool views. The route is pre-planned, so just show up and ride. Night ends at Tabor Dance. Meet at the Salmon Street Springs fountain at 5:30 pm, ride at 6:00 pm

Thursday Night Ride is Portland’s longest-running weekly social ride, rolling out from Salmon Street Springs every Thursday night since 2015! Routes and ride leaders change weekly, but expect an energetic, party-paced social ride with warmth and weirdness from our welcoming “rolling dive bar” regulars. Most rides feature regularly spaced park and store stops, generally leading to a lively end spot around 11 PM. Come prepared to have fun and celebrate cycling together—other wheeled guests should respect the pace and space of cyclists. Strong Thursday traditions, stronger shared expectations. While you might see some wheelies and other chaos, riders are expected to follow Shift’s Code of Conduct. If you’ve been asked not to attend *any* Shift rides, you are not welcome at TNR—that’s not up for debate on our ride. No complaints, just accountability—if your behavior makes others feel uncomfortable or unsafe, please leave the ride before the ride leaves you. TNR works best when everyone helps set the tone and shares responsibility. Look out for each other, welcome new riders and help them find the next stop, leave it better than you found it, give people space when they need it, and help keep the ride moving forward together by practicing Consent, Accountability, Respect, and De-escalation at all times. Friday night ride is a social ride for people who enjoy a sporty pace and adventurous routes. Every ride is different but generally range between 15 and 25 miles and you can expect some climbing and higher speeds than your average pedalpalooza ride. NOT NECESSARILY A NO DROP RIDE. Riders should be self sufficient and have a plan for getting themselves home. This is a bicycle-forward group ride. Pedal-assist ebikes are ok (class 1 & 2). Throttle heavy, high speed battery powered motor bikes are not (class 3 & 4). If you're not pedaling it’s not a bicycle and you will asked to leave. Bring lights/locks/responsible vibes/a cup/ Casual pace with some extra zip 10-20ish mile rides with store stops/park stops/art stops NOT NECESSARILY A NO DROP RIDE… ESPECIALLY IN THE FALL/WINTER/SPRING. Be careful of slippery roads/leafs on ground/pot holes. Call out road hazards to help bike friends stay safe. 2nd Fridays are MMR - later night vibes to make it to Midnight Mystery Ride.
