We'll get started at 11am, when a sturdy force is needed to haul stuff down three flights of stairs to the street below. Naturally, this will be fueled by coffee and baked goods.

- RIDE TO DOWNTOWN VANCOUVER'S FIRST FRIDAY ART WALK
-
6:00pm - 9:00pmThis is Vancouver's art walk event! It's in downtown Vancouver, close to the river and a relatively short trip from Portland. If you're taking the Max, email me and we can pick you up on the way near the Delta Park / PIR station.
I'm not specifically planning a tour of the galleries, it's a small area. We can wander through together, or you can break off on your own self-guided tour. There is also a great wine bar and a little speakeasy of a taproom in the back of the bottle shop.
I'm planning to lead a return group back to Portland at about 9:00.

RIDE OF SILENCE: PORTLAND, OR, USA
-
6:00pm - 7:00pmCyclists all over the world will take to the roads in a silent procession to honor bicyclists who have been killed or injured while cycling on public roadways. Although cyclists have a legal right to share the road with motorists, the motoring public often isn't aware of these rights, and sometimes not aware of the cyclists themselves. The purpose of the ride is:
To HONOR those who have been injured or killed
To RAISE AWARENESS that bicycles are on our roads
To ask that we all SHARE THE ROADS
We will ride a short loop through downtown Portland, going slowly and silently. All are welcome.
