Meet 7ish. Ride 8 ish.
Find your bike Every Friday Night. We meet at Ladds circle, in the circle. If it is raining, head down to the covered area of Abernethy Elementary School. Ride slowly meets at 7 pm and departs roughly at 7:45/8ish pm. An honorary 3 minutes of Ladd laps (Ding Ding Ride/Ladd500) and then we send it. Sometimes we have guest ride leaders. Friday Night Rides are different every time. Sometimes we go to other rides happening around town during the summer. End of ride fires/good vibes/respect/no jerks/ We are a community. Respect each other! No aggressive, sexist, racist, or any other kind of BS will be tolerated. Violations against the code of conduct will be reported to shift2bikes. If you ride Sur-Ron/powerful electric bikes this is not the ride for you. You can come but you might be heckled. This is a bicycle ride. Bring lights/locks/responsible vibes/a cup/ Casual pace with some extra zip 10-20ish mile rides with store stops/park stops/art stops NOT NECESSARILY A NO DROP RIDE… ESPECIALLY IN THE FALL/WINTER/SPRING. Be careful of slippery roads/leafs on ground/pot holes. Call out road hazards to help bike friends stay safe. 1st Friday is bottle share night. (bottle of wine/crazy beer/kombucha/coconut water/fizzy waters/anything you like to drink/want to share) 2nd Fridays are MMR - later night vibes to make it to Midnight Mystery Ride. If you want to lead a ride just ask! REPEAT… NOT NECESSARILY A NO DROP RIDE… ESPECIALLY IN THE FALL/WINTER/SPRING. Guest ride leaders wanted and appreciated! Instagram @fridaynightride

Free coffee will be available!
Ride Westside
Sat, May 31, 2025, 9:00 AM
Meet at 9, roll at 10
End location: 158 SE 2nd Ave, Hillsboro, OR 97123 (Hillsboro Farmers Market)
The goal is to bring Westside riders together and show our government officials across Washington County, including Washco, Beaverton, Hillsboro, Tigard and beyond that even though we're in the suburbs, our community is full of cyclists who deserve safe infrastructure too. Our leaders need to work together! We need infrastructure that makes riders and families feel safe—because when people feel safe, more will ride! All people and all wheels are welcome! The party will kick off at Cascade Bikes in Beaverton at 9am! Get there early if you want free coffee!! The closest Max station is the Beaverton Central Max stop. We will depart at 10am and ride en-masse down Baseline and main into Hillsboro, ending at the Hillsboro Farmers Market. The closest Max station at the end will be the Hillsboro Central/SE 3rd TC Max stop. The ride will be approximately 10 miles. This ride will abide by and follow the Shift Code Of Conduct. We are here to celebrate cycling in the West Suburbs, not to antagonize drivers, however we will be corking our ride to ensure the safety of our riders. What is Critical Mass? A mass bike ride and party-protest in cities all over the world, started 30 years ago in SF! Critical Mass bike rides are not just about cycling, it's about reclaiming public space, celebrating community, and making a statement for sustainable urban living. Streets are not just for cars and large group rides help to assert bicyclists' right to ride in the streets and celebrate the bicycle as a form of transportation. There is strength and safety in numbers What is corking? Corking is when you use your bike & body as a wall to ensure the ride can pass through an intersection safely, to keep the group together. Remember, strength and safety in numbers! This ride may not be suitable for small kids on their own bikes as we may be on busy roads with traffic.

Not a ride
Variable, announced every Thursday, TBA
Brian McGloin
Sat, May 31, 2025, 9:00 AM
Starts at about 9, people roll in and out through around 11
We meet at a different park in Portland every Saturday all year morning at about 9 to talk about home repair, travel plans, obscure board games, insects, etymology and sometimes bikes. Coffee Outside is often a meeting or starting point for adventures, day rides, group food cart rides or other outings. Bring a means to make coffee or some sort of coffee-adjacent beverage, or not. Instant chai? Perfect. A canned coffee beverage from the bodega? Legit. A special small batch blend of beans roasted in your neighborhood roastery that you measure by weight (portable scale, naturally) hand-grind in your titanium grinder before making a slow pour-over using hand-made paper filters and perfect temperature water? Sure, go for it. Baked goods are always appreciated but not at all required. Uniform? Nope. Fancy bike? Nope. Racing or ultra bikepacking chops? Nope. We enthusiastically welcome new faces and have no barrier to entry other than being your authentic self and leaving any bad/aggro attitudes at home. We post the location every Thursday on the PDX Coffee Outside website, which our friend Chris updates, and our Instagram account.

Meet at 7, ride at 730
End location: Somewhere on naito
Who doesn’t love a parade! Let’s ride to Portland’s fun rose festival night time one together. We’ll meet at ladds circle but we’re leaving at 730 sharp! We’ll likely cross over Hawthorne and once we find a place with enough space on the sidewalk on naito we’ll hang there. I’d you don’t make it with us but want to try and join send me a message on Instagram and I’ll do my best to respond! You can just plan on standing and you should bring a lock just in case there isn’t enough room to be with your bike. There’s not a lot of places on the route that’s closest to the bridge to buy alcohol so make sure to grab that beforehand. Ride won’t be a loop, so you’ll need to make your own way back to the circle or home. If you’re not familiar with the parade, it’s about 2 hours long and is super lit up and fun and loud. Bring your fun bike lights and a fun tude. If you’re banned from other rides you’re sure as hell banned here. I follow the shirt code of conduct and expect anyone coming to have fun with me to be respectful to each other and cars.

Playground and Splash Pad
Kidical Mass PDX
Sun, Jun 1, 2025, 12:45 PM
Meet a 12:45 pm, leave at 1:15 pm sharp!
2:15 PM
End location: Peninsula Park
Ride bikes together with kids and families, from Colonel Summers Park to Peninsula Park for the start of Pedalpalooza’s Bike Summer Kick-Off ride! This is a moderate paced ride, slow enough for kids on bikes and parents on cargo bikes. We’ll ride 5 miles from the playground and splash pad in Colonel Summers park, to the Peninsula Park, which will be the start of the Pedalpalooza ride a half hour later at 3pm. Our leader is 9 year old Amalie (and her dad Perry)! We will ride at 1:15pm sharp and should arrive at Peninsula Park at about 2:30pm, so you have time pm to pick up t-shirts and pennants, while kids can use the playground or enjoy other activities. Then at 3pm you can also join us if you want to ride at the front of the whole route of the Kick-Off Ride , along with other families and kids. @pedalpaloozapdx has asked us to ride right up front! That ride will be 5 miles long and has several hills, so younger kids may need to switch to a trailer or cargo bike with a grown-up. The kickoff ride will take us through the Lloyd District, and back up down SE Portland to finish the loop. While our ride is 5 miles and and mostly flat and will be fine for grade schooler on their own bikes, if you do the whole loop along with the Kick-Off Ride it will be 10 miles total, so it would be appropriate for 4th grade plus, or younger kids who are strong fast confident riders, to ride their own bike the whole way. Our ride will be suitable for young bike riders who can pedal their own bike uphill in a straight line. Kids should wear a helmet, be able to ride in a straight line without training wheels, start and stop, and follow instructions. Cargo bikes, tandems, trailers and tag-a-longs are great for younger or less confident kids, or in case kids get tired of pedaling. Adults without kids can also join the ride as corkers to help with traffic safety. We’ll ride together as a group, rain or shine, because kids are traffic too! There will be party favors and games. I’ve also got high hopes for some frisbee throwing. We'll end somewhere inner east side.

Ride is a loop
End location: Ride is always a loop
Our instagram is nakedHeartspdx so you can see how we ride. Weekly themed rides. Different ride leaders each week, but you can expect the ride to be social paced (8ish mph), no-drop, safe and welcoming, store stop with safe clean bathroom access and the ride is always a loop. We practice consent and non-violence specially with car interactions, what one ride does affects how all rides get treated. The Mellow Mondays are a space for (new) ride leaders to try out ideas in a very supported environment. You’ll often see Mondays rides appearing again during the warmer riding season. We follow the shift code of conduct and expect everyone to be respectful of themselves and others around them. This is so we can actually relax and have fun and connect with each other in a softer space. This isn’t a sober ride but we ask for moderation to keep the atmosphere relaxed. We recommend Abraham Fixes bikes in N Williams and NomadCycles (e-bike specialist) for repairs/sales and parts. Our friends over at RideSafePDX host regular ride and we’ recommend those as a pleasant warm group to ride with.

Please come join me at my fundraiser at Pizzeria Otto! My name is Nichole and hopefully you have met me on some Mellow Mondays or other bike rides by now! I help run a free veterinary clinic for the unhoused and at risk community here in Portland. We are just getting our team started here with the street dog coalition, a national non profit. This fundraiser is to help us raise money to cover the cost of spays and neuters and emergency care we cannot provide during a regular exam. I will be riding my bike from inner south east, and I would love for you to join me! Otherwise, if you just wanna go eat some pizza on your own time, you can stop by anytime that day to the Foster location and a portion of proceeds will be going to our Portland team. Ride is not a loop, but you’re welcome to ride back to inner SE with me after I’ve eaten and hung out! If you’re a banned rider anywhere else, you’re banned here! We will be following the shift code of conduct.

FKA Twosday Road Rascals but a slightly different approach. Taking back 2sDay is here and starting this summer for a ride every other week! We continue the tradition that started at the picnic tables at Irving park years ago. The torch has been passed and we’re back! Well be focusing different end spots then usual ones plus we’ll have new ride leads popping up thru summer so if you want to lead just ask! Party paced to swifter at times with regroups and a real no drop mentality. Meets at the picnic tables by the tennis courts or under the covered area if it rains. Meet around 7 for a 7:45 roll out! If you’re banned from other rides don’t come on this one. Pretty simple lol. Don’t be an asshole to others on the ride and traffic or pedestrians, respect people’s space consent and possessions. Climbing and more climbing to a fast and fun bomb to Cornell and then bomb through the tunnels! We are a faster and more adventurous group ride with a no drop mentality and this has been one of our most challenging rides throughout the years! The climbing is worth it! This is a one way trip from Beaverton Transit Center to downtown Portland. We will end at Salmon Springs for a photo! Hope you can make it and bring your legs! The route is roughly 14 miles and 1,400+ feet of elevation. Our boy Stefan is going to lead us along the fun route like he did last year! Is this going to be an annual thing for him? Ask him!! Ride is a loop
Ever get stuck behind a stopped freight train near SE 8th-ish & Division? Do you find it aggravating when the Bob Stacy Crossing elevators are out of service? Is your bike too heavy to carry up and down the stairs? Well aggravate no longer, because I GOT SOME HACKS FOR YOU! This ride will demonstrate several bike-friendly workarounds for a stopped train. Expect everything from common bike-ways to narrow paths and some (legal, I think) sidewalk riding. There will be some switchback pedestrian walkways which are passable (if you've got the skill) with long cargo bikes. Trailers and tandems may need to step off and walk in a couple places. I will provide commentary throughout this short ride and guidance on how best to navigate the tricky spots!! Short, informative ride, timed for the morning commute! I saw someone else do a ride like this a couple years ago so if that person is you: Thank You for the inspiration!!! Might do a re-do in July and/or August on a weekend so commuters can make it. Once I make a ride track I'll post it here!!

Join us for a ride to Walker Stadium to see the Portland Pickles on their Tour de Portland (Bike to the Park) night. We'll meet at Ladd's Circle and ride to Walker Stadium. The game starts at 7:05 (but it's usually more like 7:15). We'll plan on getting to the stadium at 6:45. It's just a little over 5 miles to the stadium. The ride will be a slow to moderate pace, around 8-10 MPH as it's a gradual uphill the majority of the ride. Obviously this ride doesn’t include tickets to the game. Getting tickets all in the same section can be challenging the closer it is to game day, but you can always choose to get tickets on the berms. As of 5/22/25, Section 203 has a lot of open seats all together which could be fun. After the game we'll ride back to Ladds but you are free to split off and go your own way home.

TNR #531: John Russell leads us into Pedalpalooza!
Thursday Night Ride
Thu, Jun 5, 2025, 7:00 PM
Meet at 7:00, announcements at 7:30, leave after “Beer Minutes.”
End location: Not a loop, but usually with a fire.
Thursday Night Ride is Portland’s longest-running weekly social ride, riding every Thursday night since 2015! Routes and ride leaders change weekly, but expect an energetic party-paced “rolling dive bar” of a ride for newcomers and regulars alike. Most rides will feature park and store stops, but come prepared to have fun and celebrate cycling together—other wheeled guests should respect the pace and space of cyclists. New leadership, same positive vibes. While you might expect some wheelies and other chaos, riders are expected to follow Shift’s Code of Conduct, and if you’re banned from any Shift rides, TNR isn’t for you. No complaints, just accountability—if your behavior makes others feel uncomfortable or unsafe, please leave the ride before the ride leaves you. Riders should practice consent, accountability, respect, and de-escalation at all times. Stay behind the ride leader and don’t forget to thank a corker! 📍 Salmon Street Springs, every Thursday, rain or shine. 🕖 Meet at 7:00, announcements at 7:30. ✨Be an Empowered Bystander✨ See something off? Step up in a way that feels right for you: 🗣️ Direct: If it's safe, say *That's Not Right* for TNR. 🎭 Distract: Change the vibe and give them an out 🙋🏽 Delegate: Get help from a ride leader or trusted friend ⏳ Delay: Check in with the person afterwards 📝 Document: Write down what happened
⛲️ If you have any questions, concerns, or just want to get involved, come early and ask for the ride leader—we’ll see you at the fountain!

See insta link for video from 2023’s/2024 ride. Oh the grooves will be great and the dance spots will be cool but can you bring yourself to dance badly? I like to dance like a 5 year old at a wedding reception… ‘Dancing Ugly’ is a concept about freeing yourself from dancing for others gaze…However, we’re all going to be together doing our best to dance badly.. Special imaginary prizes will be handed out…Such as: Can’t keep a beat trophy, Do they need medical attention badge, Needing to pee really badly banner….And some others. We’re going to be getting down hard and badly on this dance ride. You’re invited to embrace the weirdness and be in an attitude that translates to personal Empowerment and a greater sense of self off the dance floor….Well that’s my excuse… ill fitting clothes recommended… Music will be dance centric and more than just EDM and Lizzo (but there will be Lizzo and EDM). Please message us on insta if there’s a specific song you wanna go mental to. Route will be a loop. Pace will be slow and social. Refreshment stop early. We will visit 3-4 dance spots each for about 10-15 mins before rolling. There will be a degree of impromptu dancing as well, in 2024 we bumped into a garage party and danced hard with them all briefly, in 2023 we stopped and helped a bunch of people who were unloading a massive u-haul. All our rides are safe/brave places, please help foster this communities acceptance and respect for each other. We expect everyone to respect consent and non-violence. The ride will have at least one stop to check on everyone and make sure everyone’s comfortable. Corkers and safe people volunteers appreciated, come talk with me (Moorland) at the start if you want to help support the ride.

1:30 PM
Ride is a loop
Jackfruit, durian, fresh lychees or mangosteen? Depends on what looks good at the fruit market this time of year, which is earlier than last year's ride! We’ll pool our funds ($5 per person) and ride to get some fruit to share, eat in the park and play a fruit-themed party game. Finally, we'll ride to a spot for chè--Vietnamese iced dessert drinks. Fruit costumes encouraged but not required! You may leave the ride early at any time, but we will be riding back to the starting point. Approximately 7 flat miles for the full loop or 4.5 miles from start to iced dessert drink store. Ride crosses major roads including SE Woodstock, Foster, Holgate and Powell, using lights and short stretches of sidewalk where possible. We will regroup after intersections if we are split up as corking not guaranteed. Cross only when safe, we'll wait! While no one will be left behind, kids should be supervised and able to keep up with leisurely paced adults. Bring water, sun protection and $5 cash (exact change) for the fruit fund. (Disclaimer: participate at your own risk, not recommended if you are prone to food allergies. Event organizers are volunteers and assume no liability for adverse events.) We follow the Shift code of conduct.

Meet at 12, roll at 12:30
MEET AT 12, ROLL AT 12:30 Join for a 12-mile ride around NE and SE with 8-10 stops to learn about notable buildings along the way. I'll be sharing quirky history and interesting architectural notes about buildings that have struck my eye while riding neighborhood streets. Fun fact: I drafted this route in my first month living in Portland as a way to get familiar with my new home. This is not a "family friendly" ride per se (I don't know the first thing about leading a ride for tiny humans!) but children over the age of 12 might enjoy the content. I aim to share information at a middle-school level. We will ride at an 8-10 MPH pace and regroup at the top of hills. If you're interested in helping with sweeping and corking, please reach out to @architecturetourspdx on Instagram. Route link will be added 1 week before the ride.

Welcome to REVOLUTIONARY SUMMER! It's the season to grab your bike, find your comrades, and soak up some sun while resisting fascism! We're kicking off the season with a revolutionary joyride that'll take us from Salmon Street Springs over to Laurelhurst Park, where we'll end at "Gays Eating The Rich in the Park," a resistance carnival hosted by PDX Queer Meetup and Rose City Indivisible. The pace will be easy but the energy will be high! You can expect lots of fun music and chanting on the ride, maybe a few shenanigans along the way, and when we arrive at Laurelhurst there will be activities for leftists of all stripes. Trump piñata or guillotine-inspired cornhole, anyone? Don't forget to wear your keffiyehs, fly your pride flags, make a dessert to share (please label ingredients), and bring your zines, stickers, and mutual aid donations (clean clothing and non-perishable food). Decorated bikes and carnival attire welcome too– let's have some fun! This isn't a mask-mandatory event but masks are encouraged and available. VIVA LA REVOLUTION!

Hola gente de Portland We are psyched to bring you another cumbia-themed bike ride this June!!! We’ve been curating an awesome playlist of old and new cumbia jams that we’re excited to blast at full volume. Meet up at 3:00 p.m. and roll out at 3:30 p.m. We’ll start at Kenilworth Park and make our way to Sellwood Park. It’s about a 3-ish mile ride—nothing too intense. The main busy intersections we’ll be crossing are Bybee & 23rd and Bybee & Milwaukie. We usually hang out at the end chatting about cumbia music—or break into an impromptu dance party. Don’t forget to bring helmets, water, bike lights, and anything else you might need. Please practice consent in all aspects. If you experience any weird interactions, find Pablo or Rogelio—we’re here to check in and support you. Party pace as always... ¡que siga la cumbiaaaaaaaa! 🕺🚲💃

Established in 2017, we ride once a month to enjoy what this city has to offer. Each month is led by a different CORVIDAE member, and therefore will be unique. We occasionally have themes or additional donations to different organizations. Additionally, host pop-up rides during the summer. We try to focus our rides on greenways, group etiquette, safety measures and general comradery. In addition to bike safety and accessibility, we want to promote using bicycles as an alternative to fossil fueled travel within Portland. This is a no-drop ride, but please bring your repair kit with a spare tube so we can keep the ride rolling. Please bring your own provisions; we’ll be stopping near stores, but not at them. Each member has an eye out for the crowd, will cork, sweep and be a general pillar of support. Ride pace is casual at around 10 miles with a few park stops. We aim to impress that this is a safe environment for all; no aggressive, sexist, racist, or any other kind of BS will be tolerated. Please review our Corvidae Code of Conduct. A monthly social ride for cargo bikers and the cargo-curious! Check the calendar for reoccurring Cargopaloozas happening every month during bike summer - each with a different theme... June's Cargopalooza will be a social meetup beginning at Mt Hood Brewing near the Tilikum Crossing bridge. Begin the evening by "OoOOooing" and "AaAahing" over a variety of cool cargo contraptions. We'll then take a chill, meandering cruise through the inner east side, yap about whether front loaders or long tails are superior, stop for snacks and bevies, and finally find a spot to relax in the grassy lawns of Irving Park. Strictly good vibes only: absolute zero tolerance policy for jerks, creeps, and fascists. ALL BIKES WELCOME!! ALL BIKES ARE CARGO BIKES!!!
