Meet at 7:30am, ride out by 7:45am
Texas 4000 for Cancer is the world's longest annual charity bike ride, starting in Austin, Texas and ending in Anchorage, Alaska. We are a group of 60 college students continuing this tradition at the University of Texas at Austin for over 20 years. Since Texas 4000’s inception in 2004, we have awarded over $4.6 million in grants towards the fight against cancer, and we hope to continue this legacy as we raise money for every mile on our summer ride. Join us as we pass through Portland on our way to Alaska: we will be riding out towards Longview, WA @7:30am on June 21st. We will start at Couch Park and have a quick ride dedication before we begin - feel free to bike with us as long as you like. (10, 20, 30 miles, etc.)

Starts at about 9, people roll in and out through around 11
We meet at a different park in Portland every Saturday all year morning at about 9 to talk about home repair, travel plans, obscure board games, insects, etymology and sometimes bikes. Coffee Outside is often a meeting or starting point for adventures, day rides, group food cart rides or other outings. Bring a means to make coffee or some sort of coffee-adjacent beverage, or not. Instant chai? Perfect. A canned coffee beverage from the bodega? Legit. A special small batch blend of beans roasted in your neighborhood roastery that you measure by weight (portable scale, naturally) hand-grind in your titanium grinder before making a slow pour-over using hand-made paper filters and perfect temperature water? Sure, go for it. Baked goods are always appreciated but not at all required. Uniform? Nope. Fancy bike? Nope. Racing or ultra bikepacking chops? Nope. We enthusiastically welcome new faces and have no barrier to entry other than being your authentic self and leaving any bad/aggro attitudes at home. We post the location every Thursday on the PDX Coffee Outside website, which our friend Chris updates, and our Instagram account.

Our second year holding this ride, but like 16th for the garden tour :) more details to come as it gets closer! Last year was SUPER fun! Gardens on the tour have a variety of aesthetics and are guaranteed to provide inspiration. It's also a great way to get out and meet your neighbors and pick up some gardening info (even if you don't have a green thumb, like myself). This will be a lovely short little ride where we will just ride together from house to house, short distance covered overall. we'll stop for 5-10-15 minutes per house to enjoy the garden and chat with the gardener (many of these people have spent countless hours over the years transforming their outdoor spaces!). Bring water/snacks/sunscreen & we're going to stop mid route at Essex park for their bathroom. Information here: • Look for signs marking each host garden • Stay on paths and sidewalks unless invited by host • Help children respect plants and protected places • No visiting pets of any kind in gardens • Restrooms are not available at private home

UPDATE: IVE BEEN WATCHING THE WEATHER FORECAST HOPING FOR IT TO SUDDENLY BE PLEASANT, BUT IT'S NOT. IF IT WERE JUST RAIN THAT WOULD BE NO PROBLEM, BUT IT'S FORECAST TO BE CHILLY AND RAINY — NOT VERY BOOTY SHORTS WEATHER. I plan to lead this ride later in the summer, maybe starting later and ending at a swim location. Want to bare a little skin but don't want to do the naked rides? Do you have some sparkly or metallic shorts on the shorter side waiting to be worn? Let's don our finest booty shorts, short shorts, thongs, anti-shorts, whatever — as much or as little as you want — and roll slowly to [a now to be determined location] My route isn't very long or difficult, but it does have a store stop ... more to come This ride is for fun and community, please leave any bad attitudes somewhere else. If you're banned from other rides, assume you're banned here also. We're not tolerating any homophobic, transphobic, sexist, aggressive, abusive or shitty behavior.

Bright neon colors fill the air; we will be the most visible ride around. Running gear, biking gear, construction worker clothes; whatever is bright and loud on the eyes would be great, so bring it! And what’s a bright rider without a bright bike? Bicycles with bright decorations and sparkly lights are also highly desirable for this ride. Meet at 7. At 7:30 we ride from Ladd's Circle to a small cliff at Skidmore Bluffs (a.k.a. Mock's Crest), making a short pit stop along the way at our usual convenience mart. Arrive at the Bluffs by 8:45 and watch the sun set over the river. Chill and take photos of the sunset, and be in our group photo, especially as the sun’s yellow, orange, and red rays make our outfits really glow. Bring gloves or a jacket for when the sun sets. Will reschedule if it rains, as we need the bright sun to light us up. Hang out for a bit after sunset, and if you want to make this ride a loop, some of us will head out at 9:20(-ish) back to Ladd’s Circle.

**Update, June 19 -- This ride is happening!** **Not cancelling** **If it's cold we'll wear clothes ;^) Climate Change is making Portland summer nights almost unbearable. In the past, the air would cool at night. Providing refreshing respite from the heat. And allowing homes to cool off. Now the nights are routinely hot. We'll protest the lack of response by local and global leaders with a lighthearted protest ride. We'll stop at government agencies and call for decreases in greenhouse gas emissions. Also fossil fuel companies. Come roll around Portland and enjoy comfort in the only way possible -- bicycling naked! Bring signs and body paint if you have them! You can be naked, bare-as-you-dare, or clothed.

Celebrate the COOLEST winter holidays in the HOTTEST season of the year! Wear a costume. Sing carols at the top of your lungs. Make pedestrians & drivers do a double-take and say, "Whaaaaaa..!?" I’ll load my trailer with ice cold drinks and a loud bluetooth speaker. My playlist has Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Christmas songs, but we can take turns if you BYOM. Meet at Holladay Park (near Lloyd Center) at 12 noon to decorate your bike - - as usual, I'll bring holiday stickers, tinsel, etc. In previous years, riders have brought a Christmas tree & wreath on a trailer and beanie-baby dragons wearing Christmas hats, and some have dressed up as Santa, elves, and that awesome character "Jack" from "The Nightmare Before Christmas.” That Jack is not to be confused with the person named Jack who leads the "Hi-Viz Ride,” but he will show up and lead his "Halloween in June" ride at the same time. Both groups will ride together starting at 12:30 and be back at Holladay Park by 1:30 pm, where we’ll all vote for Best Costume and Best-decorated Bike, with a prize for each winner.

The spirit of Halloween is alive in Portland year ‘round. It’s never too scary and never too early in the year for Halloween candy. I’ll bring treats for those in costume. A few years ago this ride happened when it was 116 degrees out, so everyone do your 'no-heat-wave-dance' beforehand. Holladay Park has big water fountains you can bike through and splash in to cool off. This ride joins the “Winter Holidays in June” ride - more costumes! A fun chill ride with a stop for pics then back to Holladay by 1:30 pm for a costume & bike contest. If you plan to do the Shark-Naito Ride, get 2-for-1 use out of your shark costume! Join this ride, then stick around afterward and ride with a group of sharks to Shark-Naito. That ride meets one hour after this one ends, and its starting point is an 15-minute ride from Holladay. Dress up, eat treats, and listen to ghoulish music as we ride!

Meet at noon, rolling at 1230
Ride is a loop
End location: Orenco MAX Station
I wanted to host a couple of fun rides that follow routes I personally use for training in suburbia, aka the Westside! I'm a new and pretty young ride leader, so please bear with me. We'll meet at Orenco MAX station at noon and roll at 1230. The route is around 16 miles long, and a loop. It's called Bronthany as I'm combing "Bronson Creek" and Bethany! The route will start from Orenco MAX station, to the Cherry Lane Trailhead, which puts us on the Rock Creek Trail (Hillsboro). We take that up to Rock Creek Boulevard, and then make our first stop at Bethany Elementary. Then we go through Oak Hills, until we get to Terra Linda. We'll make another stop at Terra Linda Elementary. We'll have to ride on the roadway of NW 143rd until the trailhead for the Upper Westside Trail. Then, we'll take that to our second to last stop of Wismer Elementary. After that, we just follow the Rock Creek Trail all the way back to Orenco, and make our last stop at Bethany Lake Park. This ride has a bit of hills, particularly between Oak Hills and the Upper Westside Trail. I would recommend you bring an E-Bike if you are unsure of your climbing ability, but all bikes are welcome regardless. If you bring kids, please make sure they are comfortable with climbs. This will be a no-drop ride as well, so if you have any issues, we will help!

Dust off your skinny jeans, flat iron your bangs, and prepare to ride like you just added us to your Top 8. We're taking it back to the golden age of glittery GIFs, moody song lyrics as status updates, and Tom being your only true friend. Come dressed as your Myspace Profile picture. And if you didn't have a myspace profile picture, come dressed as Tom or your best 2005 scene kid look. Join us for a low-key, high-resolution community bike ride through the streets—where every stop is a chance to update your profile song (read: blast nostalgic emo bangers). Bonus points for eyeliner, scene hair, and bringing your top 8 IRL. Because nothing says “social networking” like a bunch of adults pretending it’s still 2005… on bikes. 🖤 Ride is not a loop.

🦈 IT'S A SHARK-NAITO... 2! 🦈 It's a Sharknado, but on Naito Parkway. With bikes. Dress like a shark, dress like a tornado, dress like a beach-goer who *won't* get eaten by sharks because sharks are just cute lil guyz. Or dress like an orca, because hypothetically if sharks and orcas teamed up to take down mega-yachts... * Compete for the Best Shark Impression trophy * Enjoy music about sharks, beaches, and tornadoes * PUNS. Lots of puns. Be prepared to get wet and bike around fountains with your fellow sharks in a... SHARK-NAITO. Verrry loosely based on the Sharknado film saga. No touching other sharks or their belongings without consent. Report any issues to the HSIC (Head Shark In Charge). Shark.

– Are you among the majority of Americans who support unionized workforces, helping to bring that support to its highest level in 60 years? – Are you concerned about the unprecedented union-busting executive order that recently came from the White House? – Are you interested in unionizing your workplace but haven’t quite had the wherewithal to get started? – Are you outraged over the recent detentions of union members like Lewelyn Dixon, David Huerta, Alfredo Juarez Zeferino, and others? If you answered yes to these questions, join us for an informative ride through inner SE Portland with stops where we’ll hear from local union members representing Unite Here, LIUNA, ONA, and IWW. If you’re already a union member, wear your union shirt, bring a sign and a worker friend who isn’t a union member but could be. This ride is scheduled to occur before the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW)* two-day organizing training in Corvallis June 28–29th to give you time to sign up and plan your trip. More details in sign-up link below. *IWW represents Portland workers at Fried Egg I'm In Love, Voodoo Doughnuts, Peet’s Coffee, DIY Bar, and more. Ride organizer is not an IWW member, nor is attending the training as I already belong to a union, nor do I have any current or past affiliation with IWW. Just wanted to spread the word about what looks like a promising event to build more union membership in our local economy!

One of the best parts of bike camping and touring is making meals. Here’s a chance to do that without actually going camping! Ride your bike to Tabor on your own and meet us there where we’ll make dinner. Get dinner-making practice for all the bike camping adventures you'll have this summer. Chat with other cyclotourists about bike touring/camping/packing plans for the summer. And nerd out over camping stove setups and impress everyone with the feast you’ll craft! Please note: camping stove is required, not a grill/hibachi. (There's another ride for that!) Please try to avoid the "pour hot water into a pouch" "meals" that you bought at REI. Get creative! Our instagram is nakedHeartspdx so you can see how we ride. Weekly themed rides. Different ride leaders each week, but you can expect the ride to be social paced (8ish mph), no-drop, safe and welcoming, store stop with safe clean bathroom access and the ride is always a loop. We practice consent and non-violence specially with car interactions, what one ride does affects how all rides get treated. The Mellow Mondays are a space for (new) ride leaders to try out ideas in a very supported environment. You’ll often see Mondays rides appearing again during the warmer riding season. We follow the shift code of conduct and expect everyone to be respectful of themselves and others around them. This is so we can actually relax and have fun and connect with each other in a softer space. This isn’t a sober ride but we ask for moderation to keep the atmosphere relaxed. We recommend Abraham Fixes bikes in N Williams and NomadCycles (e-bike specialist) for repairs/sales and parts. Our friends over at RideSafePDX host regular ride and we’ recommend those as a pleasant warm group to ride with.

Quick how to lead a ride tutorial before Mellow Mondays ride. Things we’ll cover, Theme creation, Creating the atmosphere you want, Sourcing support, Route planning, Speed, What if’s…… Then QnA. This is meant as a conversation opener and an opportunity to move towards leading your own rides. This will be lead by Moorland with occasional support. Brief Bio: NakedHearts has lead around 350 ish rides, with 100 ish different ride leaders, we’ve worked with local schools, government agencies, festivals, DJ’s, Bands, venues, parades, artist groups of all kinds and supported 100 ish other rides. So we have a little experience. But the all the experience just teaches caring about the ride and riders is what matters, and everything flows from there. For most people that comes naturally. Kiro (who’s only 8 years old) is considered the best ride leader and he cares about the ride and riders and having fun and that’s what makes him the best because that’s his focus. The mechanics of leading and organizing can seem daunting but it’s within reach of all of us.

Meet at 6 for hors d'oeuvres, roll at 6:30
End location: Workers Tap
Get ready for a tasty Tuesday adventure: we're serving up a multi-course vegan dinner by bicycle! Food from four vegan businesses is being provided gratis for the ride, so all you need to bring is your own plate and utensil (we'll have some spares if you forget). A picnic blanket might come in handy as well, and a bottle of wine certainly couldn't hurt! We'll start at Kenilworth Park at 6 for a delightful spread of vegan hors d'oeuvres, then at 6:30 we'll pack up and head to a few vegan restaurants for a main course, desserts, and drinks. There will be gluten-free options as well. Our pace will be easy and our route will be under 7 miles, and we're bringing a big speaker so we can rock out to our favorite food-themed tunes while we roll. No need to RSVP–there will be lots of food, and if the group is bigger than anticipated, portions will be small but everyone will still be able to sample something from each stop. All the businesses we visit on this ride are part of Portland to Palestine, a directory of local businesses that demand a permanent ceasefire and a free Palestine. Check out the directory for yourself (or request your business be added) at PortlandtoPalestine.com.

In June, we’re throwing a Neon '80s Themed Skate, a vibrant night of inline and quad skating, open to all wheels! While the event is led by skaters, everyone is welcome as long as they follow our basic community guidelines: be respectful, inclusive, and kind, no discrimination of any kind. Break out the leg warmers, slap bracelets, and your brightest neon, it’s time to roll back to the raddest decade! This Social Skate is a chill 4.5-mile cruise around Portland’s waterfront with big 80s vibes and bigger style. Expect a slower pace with more stops than most bicycle focused Pedalpalooza rides. 🕖 Meet-Up: 7:00 PM 📍 Location: S Meade St. & S Bond Ave. 🛞 Roll Out: 7:30 PM sharp 🎶 Theme: Neon 1980s — think disco, synthpop, and electric colors The route includes the Tilikum Crossing and the docks on the east side. Costumes encouraged but never required, just bring your good vibes and wheels that roll. Let’s light up the night, 80s style! ✨

I will have a pizza cutter and a cutting board to cut down slices for easy sharing. Please do not feel the need to eat at every stop - cuz you might get a tummy ache! Got a vintage flashlight or a fun new one that you're excited about? Why not meet other flashlight nerds and show off. This is a fun, (yet smallish,) community and what better time to have fun with all the lights than during a new moon. Whether it's something sentimental or just some fun new tech you've come across; this ride is a mix of chill folks meeting up for either seeing what others have collected or a doing some swaps. It can be an Eveready, Olight, playskool, or Hank light, all are welcome. Shift code of conduct applies and just don't be a jerk. (normal bike front and rear lights encouraged) Ride will be a loop

Pickleball Ride #1 of 2 Let’s play pickleball! Bring your best self and your most creative trash talk, big swings, even bigger misses, laughter, and high-fives. Meet at Mt. Tabor Tennis Courts East and socialize while we all help set up. Play in daylight for about an hour, then pack up and ride to Laurelhurst Park, arriving not too long before sundown. At Laurelhurst we’ll set up glow-in-the-dark nets and lines. I’ll bring glow-in-the dark pickleballs, LED pickleballs, a pair of blinky LED paddles, glow-in-the-dark tape, UV reactive tape, and portable UV lights to light up lines and nets. I’ll bring two regular nets and two small practice nets. Show up for daylight playtime, or for glow-in-the-dark fun, or both! If you play at both locations, then it’s a real ride. Please bring your own paddle if you have one. Your grandma told me to tell you: “It could get chilly towards the end of the ride, so bring a jacket and hot cocoa.” Note: since we plan to play on public property, court availability isn’t guaranteed. However, since we have nets and line markers, “Plan B” is to improvise and look for a paved playground or empty parking lot. We’ll have another pickleball ride in July or August - the “Crazy Rules Pickleball Ride”. Stay tuned, it should be posted soon.

After rave reviews last year this ride returns for a second go. The route is largely the same. You don't need to drive a big truck to like playing in the dirt. Join me as we find patches of dirt, gravel, and even a little single-track hidden around Hillsboro. Ride starts at the end of the MAX Blue line (Hatfield Govt Center) and will end near the MAX at Orenco. Your ride leader will be on a commuter with 38mm tires. I would recommend similar as there is definitely a fair mix of types of dirt and pavement. Note: do be prepared to lift your bike over train tracks when we cross at an unofficial location and carry your bike up a short stair set.

Thursday Night Ride is Portland’s longest-running weekly social ride, riding every Thursday night since 2015! Routes and ride leaders change weekly, but expect an energetic party-paced “rolling dive bar” of a ride for newcomers and regulars alike. Most rides will feature park and store stops, but come prepared to have fun and celebrate cycling together—other wheeled guests should respect the pace and space of cyclists. New leadership, same positive vibes. While you might expect some wheelies and other chaos, riders are expected to follow Shift’s Code of Conduct, and if you’re banned from any Shift rides, TNR isn’t for you. No complaints, just accountability—if your behavior makes others feel uncomfortable or unsafe, please leave the ride before the ride leaves you. Riders should practice consent, accountability, respect, and de-escalation at all times. Stay behind the ride leader and don’t forget to thank a corker! 📍 Salmon Street Springs, every Thursday, rain or shine. 🕖 Meet at 7:00, announcements at 7:30. ✨Be an Empowered Bystander✨ See something off? Step up in a way that feels right for you: 🗣️ Direct: If it's safe, say *That's Not Right* for TNR. 🎭 Distract: Change the vibe and give them an out 🙋🏽 Delegate: Get help from a ride leader or trusted friend ⏳ Delay: Check in with the person afterwards 📝 Document: Write down what happened
⛲️ If you have any questions, concerns, or just want to get involved, come early and ask for the ride leader—we’ll see you at the fountain!

Meet 7ish. Ride 8 ish.
Find your bike Every Friday Night. We meet at Ladds circle, in the circle. If it is raining, head down to the covered area of Abernethy Elementary School. Ride slowly meets at 7 pm and departs roughly at 7:45/8ish pm. An honorary 3 minutes of Ladd laps (Ding Ding Ride/Ladd500) and then we send it. Sometimes we have guest ride leaders. Friday Night Rides are different every time. Sometimes we go to other rides happening around town during the summer. End of ride fires/good vibes/respect/no jerks/ We are a community. Respect each other! No aggressive, sexist, racist, or any other kind of BS will be tolerated. Violations against the code of conduct will be reported to shift2bikes. If you ride Sur-Ron/powerful electric bikes this is not the ride for you. You can come but you might be heckled. This is a bicycle ride. Bring lights/locks/responsible vibes/a cup/ Casual pace with some extra zip 10-20ish mile rides with store stops/park stops/art stops NOT NECESSARILY A NO DROP RIDE… ESPECIALLY IN THE FALL/WINTER/SPRING. Be careful of slippery roads/leafs on ground/pot holes. Call out road hazards to help bike friends stay safe. 1st Friday is bottle share night. (bottle of wine/crazy beer/kombucha/coconut water/fizzy waters/anything you like to drink/want to share) 2nd Fridays are MMR - later night vibes to make it to Midnight Mystery Ride. If you want to lead a ride just ask! REPEAT… NOT NECESSARILY A NO DROP RIDE… ESPECIALLY IN THE FALL/WINTER/SPRING. Guest ride leaders wanted and appreciated! Instagram @fridaynightride

Pack up your favorite white wine spritz or syrupy Marg mix and join us as we make a leisurely cycle around Portland (Karens always move at their own speed) to offer up our helpful criticisms about the state of things, leave passive aggressive notes, post withering Yelp reviews, and demand to speak to underpaid lower-mid-level supervisors about the various injustices we face all day, every day. Kens / Kevins welcome. Appropriate costumes STRONGLY encouraged. You can come without, but we will definitely have an opinion about it. Route and details TBD.

What the ride will be: Queer joy on two wheels is back, and you’re invited! Join Corvidae Bike Club for a Friday night ride full of connection, movement, and magic. We ride for freedom, for fun, and for each other. 🖤🌈 ✨ Leaving Col. Summers Park ✨ This is a no-drop, social-paced ride ✨ Expect loud music, late summer twilight, and lots of sparkle. ✨ All genders, bodies, and bike types welcome. ✨ Ride ends at a chill hangout spot with a fire (TBD) — bring snacks, drinks, and your cutest lights. Whether it’s your first time riding with us or you’ve flown with the flock before — come roll with the queerest birds on the block. Dress up, light up, show up. Let’s take the streets together. 🚲💥 Who is Corvidae Bike Club: Established in 2017, we ride once a month to enjoy what this city has to offer. Each month is led by a different CORVIDAE member, and therefore will be unique. We occasionally have themes or additional donations to different organizations. Additionally, host pop-up rides during the summer. We try to focus our rides on greenways, group etiquette, safety measures and general camaraderie. In addition to bike safety and accessibility, we want to promote using bicycles as an alternative to fossil fueled travel within Portland. This is a no-drop ride, but please bring your repair kit with a spare tube so we can keep the ride rolling. Please bring your own provisions; we’ll be stopping near stores, but not at them. Each member has an eye out for the crowd, will cork, sweep and be a general pillar of support.

End location: Probably within 10 mins of the start.
Music without Borders. This is an all request music ride and the theme for this is ‘music of your people, of your homeland, of your grandparent’s grandparents’. A celebration of all our heritages. Music doesn’t need to be traditional or folk orientated , it can be any genre from any period. It also is open too interpretation, for example, an English person might request Oasis, because they were born in Manchester, England. But an Irish person might request Oasis because the Gallagher brothers are Irish. With the weather predicted to be somewhat awful, rainy and windswept what could be better than getting together with a bunch of people and riding bikes at a slow pace that’s beginner friendly. What could be better: Staying home and watching Netflix? Probably not. Staying home and watching videos of kittens and puppies and random animals falling asleep? Definitely better. But what if, what if, some part of you is all geared up and ready for all the excited rides for this night and you see they’re all being cancelled or rescheduled because of rain. Well this ride is for you and everyone else who isn’t the Wicked Witch of the West, (Turns out she was very misunderstood, but still had a delicate constitution around water). This is going to be a ‘’Its your music ride’. Everyone at the start gets to add music to the playlist and we just make a random mix. Do you wanna karaoke? You can do that as we ride with the wireless mics we have. Wanna request we flash mob to a particular song? We can try and see how it goes. Is any music banned? Well because of Sarah Monster Mash even Nickleback is allowed now. But seriously is any music not allowed? Well, who wants to hear American Pie, or Baby Beluga or that song about a cafe on thanksgiving….lets just try and keep requested songs under 5 mins…and although Coldplay or Drake isn’t a banned artist, let’s try not to make people’s ears retch. Can I request Rick Astley? You don’t need too he’s already on the playlist. But can I add him again? No need he’s already on there twice…. But, really can I ask for him again? You can’t win this game. Our Rick Rolling game beat the final boss and started again and then we beat the final boss over and over. Beyond all that. We practice consent and mutual respect and nonviolence on all our rides. If you’re banned elsewhere you’re banned here too. If you’ve a hard time recognizing other people have the right to exist and live their lives with autonomy and how they see fit, and respecting it’s their body and their choice, this isn’t the ride for you.

Kendrick vs. Drake: The Rap Beef Ride PedalPalooza’s Most Petty Ride Yet Two titans. One beat. No mercy. It’s Kendrick vs. Drake, and we’re taking the beef to the streets. Join us for a high-stakes, fully bumpin’, lyrically loaded ride through the ongoing saga between Kung Fu Kenny and Champagne Papi. We’re diving into diss tracks, deep cuts, subliminals, and straight-up shots fired—from “Control” to “Push Ups,” “The Heart” to “Back to Back.” Whose side are you on? Come dressed in your allegiance: OVO drip or pgLang precision. Or just ride for the bars. This is a no-drop, all-drama, heavy-hitting ride that celebrates the art of rap beef and the joy of watching two GOATs go head-to-head. The speakers will be loud. The opinions will be louder. The vibes? Undeniable. Let’s settle this in the bike lane.

Party starts at 9, ride at 10am!
End location: 158 SE 2nd Ave, Hillsboro, OR 97123 (Hillsboro Farmers Market)
The goal is to bring cyclists together and show our government officials across Washington County, including Washco, Beaverton, Hillsboro, Tigard, Bethany, and beyond that even though we're in the suburbs, our community is full of cyclists who deserve safe infrastructure too. Our leaders need to work together! We need infrastructure that makes riders and families feel safe—because when people feel safe, more will ride! All people and all wheels are welcome! Always stick to riding in the right lane. ------------- The party will kick off at Cascade Bikes in Beaverton at 9am! The closest Max station is the Beaverton Central Max stop. We will depart at 10am and ride en-masse to Hillsboro, ending at the Hillsboro Farmers Market. The closest Max station at the end will be the Hillsboro Central/SE 3rd TC Max stop. The ride will be approximately 12.5 miles. Check it out here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/rZ9VQxW5TX71pdH6A ----- This ride will abide by and follow the Shift Code Of Conduct. We are here to celebrate cycling in the West Suburbs, not to antagonize drivers, however we will be corking our ride to ensure the safety of our riders. What is Critical Mass? A mass bike ride and party-protest in cities all over the world, started 30 years ago in SF! Critical Mass bike rides are not just about cycling, it's about reclaiming public space, celebrating community, and making a statement for sustainable urban living. Streets are not just for cars and large group rides help to assert bicyclists' right to ride in the streets and celebrate the bicycle as a form of transportation. There is strength and safety in numbers What is corking? Corking is when you use your bike & body as a wall to ensure the ride can pass through an intersection safely, to keep the group together. Remember, strength and safety in numbers! This ride may not be suitable for small kids on their own bikes as we may be on busy roads with traffic.

Initiative Petition 28 (IP28), formally titled People for the Elimination of Animal Cruelty Exemptions (PEACE) Act, is a proposed ballot initiative filed with the state of Oregon for the November 2026 general election. If enacted, IP28 would remove many of the exemptions from Oregon’s laws against animal abuse, animal neglect, and animal sexual assault. Due to these exemptions, animals on farms, in laboratories, in exhibitions, and in the wild are not currently protected under these laws from intentional, knowing, and reckless injury. We believe everyone should be equally protected under the law, and that all animals deserve equal consideration, regardless of whether or not we consider them our companions. All animals deserve a life free from cruelty. Before it gets to the ballot, we need to collect 117,173 signatures from registered voters in the state of Oregon. If you would like to sign, please come! We will meet up and hang around for 30 minutes to allow everyone to officially sign the petition. Afterwards, we will ride through the neighborhood. Ride is a loop. Come hang out and learn more about IP28 and what it could mean for animals in Oregon!

Quick safety chat at 3:00pm, ride shortly thereafter.
End location: Johnson Creek Park (SE Clatsop St & SE 21st Ave, Portland, OR, 97202)
RIDE #1: 11TH/12TH-MILWAUKIE AVE Holladay Park to Johnson Creek Park, brief pause at Brooklyn City Park - 5.1 miles, no loop. Our city is lacerated by multi-lane highways and stroads that are hostile to human life and subservient to mass automobility. These rides aim to prefigure what these wretched roadways should become -- long, straight, safe courses for human-powered transit! We claim these roads for bicycling! These rides will take the entire rightmost travel lane, and potentially more, depending on size -- the more people show up to ride together, the less individual bravery any one person needs to bring. Due to the current unsafety of these roads, these rides are not particularly recommended for younger children. The goal is to consistently move at ~12 mph, though we'll maintain whatever pace we need to stay together. The ride leader is an experienced road rider and will ride in the back as caboose/sweep with a brightly visible trailer. Snacks, waters, first aid kit, and bike tools will be on hand. We will follow road laws, but will prioritize staying together as a group, so corking would be welcome if the group size justifies it. This is a series of six rides on "unfriendly" roads -- demanding by action that no city streets should be unfriendly to people outside of cars! June 29, 3:00pm - 11th/12th-Milwaukie* July 6, 5:00pm - Cesar Chavez July 12, 11:00am - Sandy July 20, 2:00pm - 82nd July 27, 10:00am - Powell August 3, 1:00pm - MLK Jr. *(Admittedly, Milwaukie Ave isn't really a stroad, but I decided to start this series with something more lowkey... it should still be made friendlier for bicycling!)

Meet at 1715, rolling at 1745
End location: Tigard Public Library
I wanted to host a couple of fun rides that follow routes I personally use for training in suburbia, aka the Westside! I'm a new and pretty young ride leader, so please bear with me. We'll meet at the North parking lot of Garden Home Recreation Centre at 1715 and roll at 1745. The route is about 7 miles long, and will end at the Tigard Library, however the Tigard Transit Centre is relatively close if you would like to take transit back. We will mostly be on the Fanno Creek Greenway and Tigard Heritage Trail, but we will have to take Denney Road to cross over the 217. It's a relatively flat ride aside from the Denney overpass, so all types of bikes and abilities are welcome, including E-bikes. We will make an intermediate stop at Greenway Park. This will be a no-drop ride as well, so if you have any issues, we will help!

Ride leaves for 6:00pm
LoveSpokes, a Wedding Reception Irving park June 19th 2025 Meet at 5:30 pm, Ride leaves 6pm Ride is a loop, ends with dance party If you’ve ever felt a groove a-bubbling up inside; if you’ve ever shuffled, moon-walked, twerked, or pirouetted; if you’ve ever succumbed to a funky tune and accepted your destiny as a living filament quivering with the rhythm the cosmic love song, then THIS is the ride for YOU. If you’ve ever fallen for someone, let down your guard, soaked up the sun, and allowed tenderness, hope, and hopeless romanticism to grow, then THIS is the ride for YOU! Three years ago, a winsome pair of fated lovers met on a Pedalpalooza ride. Popping and locking, doing the worm, neither of them had any idea that Dancing Ugly and Drooling would change their lives forever. Like birds of paradise shimmying incandescently, they caught each other's eyes, then hearts, and the rest was a cha cha: real smooth. Now newly wed, join their Wedding Reception, LoveSpokes, for a ride like no other! With the same ride leader, in the same park where it all began, RIDE WITH US! Ride for music, ride for belonging, and most of all, RIDE FOR LOVE! *costumery encouraged*

Meet at 6:30pm, Ride at 7pm sharp!
8:00 PM
Calling all cyclists, robotboys, fembots, and dancehall queens! Call your girlfriend and tell her it’s time that we dance to the beat. This ride is all Robyn. Who’s that girl? She's an internationally beloved Swedish pop-star - killin' it since '94. She's the founder and CEO of Konichiwa Records. Listed in section 202 of the United Nations Security Act of 1979 as being too hot to wear tight sweaters in international airspace. Route Map COMING SOON: Expect an ~1.5 hr joy ride of 8ishmiles, with a dance break stop at the ~4 mile mark to dance and enjoy refreshments (bring your own - there is no store stop). * We will be taking some major streets Do you know what it takes to make this a great ride? - We will need corkers (and those who are cork curious) - Big speakers (for music) - And of course you! Got a big speaker? (JBL Xtreme size or larger) We’ll do a simple sync of the music by pressing play at the same time, but we do ask that speakers space themselves out along the ride. Be sure to use the Spotify playlist. Add your fave Robyn song if it’s not there already. Dress your Robyn fantasy, just don't include me out. Be sure to bring water (you’re not indestructible) and snacks/beverages - there will NOT be a store stop. BANNED RIDERS: If you are banned from any rides, you are also banned from this ride. This ride will be a safer space for queer and bipoc folks with a zero tolerance policy for non-consent, discrimination, or phobic behavior.

Ride is a loop
End location: Ride is always a loop

Don't draw a bike, bike a drawing! Using state of the art technology, each rider will draw a colored line on a collaborative sketch just by riding around. It's magic, like Etch A Sketch, but the drawing dials are the wheels of your bike. How will the canvas affect our creativity? What are the limits and opportunities of this advanced new art medium? Bring a smartphone, and be prepared to "share your location." Your location will only be used to create this artwork and will not be accessed or stored beyond that. A method to mount your phone to your bike will allow to view the sketch in progress hands-free, but it's not necessary. Part of a series.
