Laurelhurst Park, SE Ankeny St & SE Laurelhurst Pl, Portland, OR 97214
Meet by bathrooms
Revolutionary Bicycle Club
Fri, Jun 13, 2025, 5:15 PM
Roll at 5:40
Ride is a loop
Come ride with us in solidarity with immigrants and protesters around the country! We'll be taking an easy-paced ride to ICE, dropping off some food and drinks to protesters there, hanging out for a little bit and then looping back to SE before it gets dark (around 8:30). As you've likely seen in the news, things are getting pretty tense at ICE (in Portland and everywhere else) and although we aren't going to be at ICE for long (this is primarily a supply run and show of support) we advise not bringing children along and being aware of the possibility of tear gas and police violence. Meet at 5:15 at Laurelhurst, leave by 5:40. Bring protest signs, flags, and any supplies you want to donate (respirators and changes of clothing for those who get gassed, preferably black and long-sleeved, are the top current need). Masks encouraged and photography only permitted with consent. Check @iceoutofportland on IG for protest updates.

Fri, Jun 13, 2025, 6:00 PM
Meet at 6:00pm, Ride at 6:30pm.
End location: Swift Lounge, 1932 NE Broadway
What are we going to do now? A bike ride with all of the albums and it's like 3 1/2 hours long?? Yes, that's exactly what we're doing! Wear your favorite Eras Tour outfit, bring the friendship bracelets and a sound system (if you've got one). We'll be riding through the whole Eras Tour setlist as we relive the memories and make some new ones along the way. If 3 1/2 hours is too long to ride, we'll be stopping at Mt Tabor Park (more info below) about an hour ish into the ride to listen to 2 surprise song mashups (guitar and piano of course) and also trade friendship bracelets if anyone wants :). The stop won't be longer than 30 minutes so we can complete the setlist and then we're ending the ride at Swift Lounge off Broadway. **Mt Tabor Park Surprise Songs LOCATION** We're meeting at the Reservoir Number 5 Building (GC63+M2, Portland, OR 97215) around 7:45pm. It's a pretty open space for gathering so you should be able to see us if you're meeting here just for the Surprise Songs and aren't part of the ride. Also optional to start your ride here and join for the second half.

This ride happens on the 2nd Friday of EVERY month, no matter the weather. Each month we have a new ride leader taking us to a mystery destination. Bring a lock, lights, snacks and water - there may not be a store stop. Leave no trace - pack in what you pack out, wherever we end. "It’ll be a longer route," says the ride leader...

Sat, Jun 14, 2025, 9:00 AM
Starts at about 9, people roll in and out through around 11
We meet at a different park in Portland every Saturday all year morning at about 9 to talk about home repair, travel plans, obscure board games, insects, etymology and sometimes bikes. Coffee Outside is often a meeting or starting point for adventures, day rides, group food cart rides or other outings. Bring a means to make coffee or some sort of coffee-adjacent beverage, or not. Instant chai? Perfect. A canned coffee beverage from the bodega? Legit. A special small batch blend of beans roasted in your neighborhood roastery that you measure by weight (portable scale, naturally) hand-grind in your titanium grinder before making a slow pour-over using hand-made paper filters and perfect temperature water? Sure, go for it. Baked goods are always appreciated but not at all required. Uniform? Nope. Fancy bike? Nope. Racing or ultra bikepacking chops? Nope. We enthusiastically welcome new faces and have no barrier to entry other than being your authentic self and leaving any bad/aggro attitudes at home. We post the location every Thursday on the PDX Coffee Outside website, which our friend Chris updates, and our Instagram account.

We will be stopping at multiple parks (Colonel Summers>Sunnyside>Laurelhurst>Waterfront Park) on this ride and ending at a giant parachute party. Back again with a new route and even more transit awesome, get ready for Northeast Portland Streetcar History Part Deux. Before things got too fast and furious with its MAX trains and Tillikum Crossings, Portland at the beginning of the 20th century, like most American cities, had an extensive streetcar network which fueled development of neighborhoods far from the city center. Commercial development followed the streetcar, creating many of the walkable neighborhoods we love today. Portland abandoned and paved over its streetcar tracks in the years after World War II, but here and there you can see tracks trying to peak up from below, reminding us of a time before cars commandeered our roads and good public transit was considered the height of fashion and technology and essential to any decent city. Learn more about the history of the streetcar in Northeast Portland, and its long lasting impact on development and transit in Northeast Portland. This 9 mile loop ride will include stops showing different pieces of the network. This educational ride will be family friendly and all are welcome.

Sat, Jun 14, 2025, 12:30 PM
Roll promptly at 1. If you're late, meet us at one of our stops! (see ride description)
End location: Near waterfront
Saturday is No Kings Day! Unionizing is a crucial part of sticking it to fascists and being able to fight back on our own terms, so if you're part of a tenants union, interested in figuring out how to organize one, or just wanting to connect with other activists who are taking concrete steps in fighting back against fascism on a local level: this ride is for you! This ride is for you even if you're not a renter, because tenants unions are playing a critical role in keeping our city affordable and livable, which benefits EVERYONE. We're celebrating the importance of tenants unions and protesting in our own fun way by bringing the energy, a big speaker, and a great playlist on a tour of buildings from SE to NW where residents have organized (or are working on organizing) a union. At each stop we'll drop off some gifts and pick up any residents who want to come along on the ride. We'll have resources for all who want to get more involved in organizing/joining a tenants union, plus the opportunity to chat with other organizers. We'll arrive at the waterfront by 2, and anyone who wants to peel off and join the No Kings march is welcome to. For those who want to finish the ride, we'll stop at one more building and then end in Jamison Square park for some food (we'll have vegan and gf options) and a final fun activity. Kidical Mass PDX kid friendly ride to frozen yogurt! 17 years of family bike rides
Kidical Mass PDX
Sat, Jun 14, 2025, 2:00 PM
Meet at 2:00pm, ride at 2:15pm
3:30 PM
Ride is a loop
Celebrate the 17thh anniversary of Kidical Mass PDX with a bike ride downtown to get frozen yogurt! This family-friendly, kid-paced bike ride first happened in June 2008 on a route downtown similar to this one. This year we’ll ride from Tanner Springs park in NW Portland to Director Park, where we can get self-serve frozen yogurt with topping at Tartberry, a local shop. The ride is free, but bring money for yogurt. Meet at 2:00pm, ride at 2:15pm. The ride is a loop, 3.5 miles total, with a 30 minute break at the park and yogurt shop after 1.5 miles, so it is suitable for most young bike riders who can pedal their own bike without training wheels. We should be back to the start by 4:00 pm. We ride at a moderate pace for little pedalers and parents on cargo bikes. Kids should wear a helmet, be able to balance and pedal in a straight line, start and stop. Cargo bikes, tandems, trailers and tag-a-longs are great for kids who haven’t learned to pedal. Adult corkers are welcome to join as a traffic safety superheroes. We’ll ride together as a group, rain or shine, because kids are traffic too! Route map: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/51011862

We leave at 5….At 5, actually 5, not 5:20 or 5:05….5:00
End location: Bar Carlo for PUNK ROCK PRIDE
More details TBD but we ride to the Punk Rock Pride event at Bar Carlo on 6433 SE Foster road. The event has DJ’s, Drag, Brass bands, and a lot more and is raising money for the Trans Law Center. The organizers and people involved are doing something special and it’s a privilege we get to bring a ride and start a ride there. Our route will have us arriving for 5:45pm just in time to settle for a performance by the wonderful Brassless Chaps. We’ll be at the location till 7:15 ish when we start the New Gen Punk Alt Ride from there. Safety: If you’re a banned rider, you’re banned here too. As with all our rides: We practice consent. No matter who you’re with we ask you ask for permission before touching anyone or their property. That when you ask, you seek, listen and empower ‘no’. We practice, non-violence specifically around car interactions. Everyone we meet in a car is a neighbor and we and other rides will meet them again, our respect and appreciation has an impact. If you are aggressive towards any car you put everyone on the ride at risk and it’s completely unacceptable, save it for your commute. If anyone makes you feel uncomfortable please find a NakedHearts rider for support or come to the front and talk with the ride leader or just ask to ride with us. There will be at least one safety stop so we can check on everyone and to have all the support people identify themselves.

Meet at 1715, rolling at 1745
End location: Tigard Public Library
I wanted to host a couple of fun rides that follow routes I personally use for training in suburbia, aka the Westside! I'm a new and pretty young ride leader, so please bear with me. We'll meet at the North parking lot of Garden Home Recreation Centre at 1715 and roll at 1745. The route is about 7 miles long, and will end at the Tigard Library, however the Tigard Transit Centre is relatively close if you would like to take transit back. We will mostly be on the Fanno Creek Greenway and Tigard Heritage Trail, but we will have to take Denney Road to cross over the 217. It's a relatively flat ride aside from the Denney overpass, so all types of bikes and abilities are welcome, including E-bikes. We will make an intermediate stop at Greenway Park. This will be a no-drop ride as well, so if you have any issues, we will help!

We ride at 7:15.
What’s alternative music in 2025 when the mainstream musical landscape is all 15 seconds of bars repeated and catered towards Tik Tok, vocals auto tuned, and a banality that makes 80’s pop look profound. What’s Punk music in 2025? Who’s pushing back and blazing new trails and entrenching old trails? Who’s screaming out against the system and doing so with humor and more frustration than a Labrador looking at you holding a piece of cheese for more than 20 seconds. This ride is going to be a musical journey and isn’t all shouty aggro punk….there’s also a majority women artists and some music that’s so skillful and beautiful it’s the clear sounds of a band that’s played and gigged extensively. The ride itself isn’t going to be like The Opera ride, which is the most punk ride in the World. But we might do some silly stuff. Route will be easy, social paced, store stop with safe clean bathroom access. We do our best to keep the rides no drop. As with all our rides we practice Non-violence specifically with car interactions. We also ask everyone (even wives and husbands) to practice consent around touching others and others property. Ride is rain or shine. The MotorHead Vs the World ride got hammered with rain but the vibe was fantastic, Please help keep the space safe and respectful by taking care of yourself and those around you .

Society of Three Speeds
Sun, Jun 15, 2025, 10:00 AM
It's time for a lovely day tour on three speed bicycles! Destination: Oregon City, where we can have a fine lunch, use America's favorite municipal elevator, tour the promenade, and see the Falls. Then we ride back to Portland. Lovely! This ride is open to all bikes that have a three speed internal geared hub. Hub and bike can be of any age and from any country. We also accept four and five speed internal geared hubs, but nothing larger. No derailleur equipped bicycles unless: a) it is on a Brompton or b) derailleur acts as chain tensioner. You do not need to be a member of Society of Three Speeds to be on the ride. If you are not a member, you can purchase a membership on the day of ride for just $25. The details: -The TOTAL ride is about 25 miles. The ride will start in Sellwood and end in Milwaukie, both locations easily accessible by the MAX Orange Line. This route is relatively flat and uses a lot of bike paths! There are a few hills, including one that you might have to walk (no shame in that!) though so be warned. -For those who don't want to ride the whole distance, one can take a bus from downtown Oregon City, basically halving the length. -This is a LEISURELY ride. We will take our time, we will have breaks. Don't think we'll be done by 1 PM. Nope, this is not that type of ride! Expect to be out until early evening and you won't be disappointed or stressed. -We'll have a good break in Oregon City to get sit-down food and adult libations. -We'll have a tea stop at some point. This is BYO, either bring hot tea or be prepared to make it with a stove. Coffee and other hot beverages are OK too.

Ride is a loop
A bike ride that pays homage to the 1960s television show by going to the site of a desert island in SE Portland. Yes, there is a 2.5 acre island completely surrounded by water in SE Portland. This island was once private property with housing, but is now public land that is being restored to its natural state. Gilligan’s Island seems especially appropriate for Pedalpalooza, as two dozen of the 98 series episodes featured pedal-powered inventions of one sort or another. This assortment of devices includes such things as a washing machine, a cooling fan, a sewing machine, a diamond-bladed saw, an air pump, a water wheel, and even a pedal-powered dental drill to replace tooth fillings. The picture shows a four-person pedal transmitter powered by Gilligan, Ginger, Mary Ann, and the Skipper to generate enough electricity for the Professor to send a signal into outer space. The desert island we ride to dates back to the 1930s when the WPA (Works Progress Administration) attempted to tame Johnson Creek by channeling the water flow. The project was a failure, making flooding even worse, so the city has been gradually reversing it in recent years. The bridge out to the island will be removed at some point, and the island itself may cease to exist if the channel separating it is removed. The ultimate goal is to reduce flooding and provide the area with a green space that will be a community amenity. Come on the ride dressed as one of the seven stranded castaways if you like. Other options include any of the roughy three dozen visitors to Gilligan’s Island. Somehow these visitors always got off the island without helping the castaways escape. The bike ride to the desert island is four miles, followed by a food cart stop on the route back to Clinton Park. Total distance for the completely-flat loop is eight miles. Including the food cart stop this ride should amount to a Three Hour Tour.

Cultivate inner awareness while building strength and flexibility. Instructor Bio: Carla Bartow (she/her/hers) I first started practicing yoga as an infant at mommy and me yoga. I became a dedicated practitioner in 2012, while I was living in Upstate New York. I came to vinyasa yoga at that time, when I was training for riding century bike rides. I moved to Portland in 2013 to live car-free and I have done so for over a decade now. I have studied yoga in-depth with Audra Carmine from whom I received certification to teach vinyasa yoga. It is my great honor to be a vessel of growth through teaching yoga. Participants are encouraged to bring their own mats and water bottles however we have a few available for community use if needed. This is a donation-based sliding scale yoga class. Suggested donation is $5-$20. Donations are collected in person at class via online donation or cash.

Our instagram is nakedHeartspdx so you can see how we ride. Weekly themed rides. Different ride leaders each week, but you can expect the ride to be social paced (8ish mph), no-drop, safe and welcoming, store stop with safe clean bathroom access and the ride is always a loop. We practice consent and non-violence specially with car interactions, what one ride does affects how all rides get treated. The Mellow Mondays are a space for (new) ride leaders to try out ideas in a very supported environment. You’ll often see Mondays rides appearing again during the warmer riding season. We follow the shift code of conduct and expect everyone to be respectful of themselves and others around them. This is so we can actually relax and have fun and connect with each other in a softer space. This isn’t a sober ride but we ask for moderation to keep the atmosphere relaxed. We recommend Abraham Fixes bikes in N Williams and NomadCycles (e-bike specialist) for repairs/sales and parts. Our friends over at RideSafePDX host regular ride and we’ recommend those as a pleasant warm group to ride with.

Quick how to lead a ride tutorial before Mellow Mondays ride. Things we’ll cover, Theme creation, Creating the atmosphere you want, Sourcing support, Route planning, Speed, What if’s…… Then QnA. This is meant as a conversation opener and an opportunity to move towards leading your own rides. This will be lead by Moorland with occasional support. Brief Bio: NakedHearts has lead around 350 ish rides, with 100 ish different ride leaders, we’ve worked with local schools, government agencies, festivals, DJ’s, Bands, venues, parades, artist groups of all kinds and supported 100 ish other rides. So we have a little experience. But the all the experience just teaches caring about the ride and riders is what matters, and everything flows from there. For most people that comes naturally. Kiro (who’s only 8 years old) is considered the best ride leader and he cares about the ride and riders and having fun and that’s what makes him the best because that’s his focus. The mechanics of leading and organizing can seem daunting but it’s within reach of all of us.

We continue the tradition that started at the picnic tables at Irving park years ago. The torch has been passed and we’re back! Well be focusing different end spots then usual ones plus we’ll have new ride leads popping up thru summer so if you want to lead just ask! Party paced to swifter at times with regroups and a real no drop mentality. Meets at the picnic tables by the tennis courts or under the covered area if it rains. Meet around 7 for a 7:45 roll out! If you’re banned from other rides don’t come on this one. Pretty simple lol. Don’t be an asshole to others on the ride and traffic or pedestrians, respect people’s space consent and possessions. We strive to make this a safe place for all and welcoming to everyone 🖤🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️✊

Ride is a loop
This is a no-drop, easy-pace loop ride perfect for folks new to the bike or just getting back on their wheels. About 9 miles long, round trip, mostly along the 70's and 80's Neighborhood Greenways. Not really inspired by the Doobie Brothers or Whitney Houston (though there may be a playlist), but we’ll get in the groove of two eastside neighborhood greenways. We’ll ride the low-stress way from Roseway to Montavilla and the Jade District and back again via Rose City Park. This is a no-drop, easy pace loop ride perfect for folks new to the bike or just getting back on their wheels. Optional refreshment stop toward the end. Meet at 5:30, we’ll roll out at 5:45. Bring a friend because no one is left behind! Free and open to everyone.

Get ready to relax and stretch in this slow and stretchy yin class. We will explore longer holds and use lots of props to support us in our practice. This is a lovely class to unwind at the end of a busy day. This is a donation-based sliding scale yoga class. Suggested donation is $5-$20. Donations are collected in person at class via online donation or cash.

Thursday Night Ride
Thu, Jun 19, 2025, 7:00 PM
Meet at 7:00, announcements at 7:30, leave after “Beer Minutes.”
End location: Not a loop, but usually with a fire.
Thursday Night Ride is Portland’s longest-running weekly social ride, riding every Thursday night since 2015! Routes and ride leaders change weekly, but expect an energetic party-paced “rolling dive bar” of a ride for newcomers and regulars alike. Most rides will feature park and store stops, but come prepared to have fun and celebrate cycling together—other wheeled guests should respect the pace and space of cyclists. New leadership, same positive vibes. While you might expect some wheelies and other chaos, riders are expected to follow Shift’s Code of Conduct, and if you’re banned from any Shift rides, TNR isn’t for you. No complaints, just accountability—if your behavior makes others feel uncomfortable or unsafe, please leave the ride before the ride leaves you. Riders should practice consent, accountability, respect, and de-escalation at all times. Stay behind the ride leader and don’t forget to thank a corker! 📍 Salmon Street Springs, every Thursday, rain or shine. 🕖 Meet at 7:00, announcements at 7:30. ✨Be an Empowered Bystander✨ See something off? Step up in a way that feels right for you: 🗣️ Direct: If it's safe, say *That's Not Right* for TNR. 🎭 Distract: Change the vibe and give them an out 🙋🏽 Delegate: Get help from a ride leader or trusted friend ⏳ Delay: Check in with the person afterwards 📝 Document: Write down what happened
⛲️ If you have any questions, concerns, or just want to get involved, come early and ask for the ride leader—we’ll see you at the fountain!

Rolling at 8
The shortest night of the year invites us to roll into astronomical summer! Earths tilt tips at 7:42pm. Let's celebrate the upper apex of our sun's path by rolling from sunset to sunrise. Route details to follow. Expect at least 40miles, and 2000ft climb. Caution: contains "funny business," i.e. trail/gravel, non bike routes, and potential hike-a-bike sections. We have ALL NIGHT, i.e. around 9h ride duration (~6h saddle time/~3h breaks). 10-15mph (depending on segment). Solstice rides cover ground, are adventurous, test gear and challenge rider endurance! Take this as you will. Expect the unexpected. Pace is swift but with stops and regroups. This is a long format ride so drops are probable. You are the best judge of your abilities and energy level. If you need to bail, we'll help you get your bearings. Otherwise, expect to stick with the group until the sun comes up! We will stop for mechanicals and can assist. Come prepared! Layers (for cool temps and potential overgrown paths), lights, charging packs, food, water, bug spray are clever. Bring what you need but pack light. At least one proper store stop and one 24/7. Leave no trace. Ready your bikes for the upcoming season (check your breaks/tires/lube chains)! Look for long format day rides quarterly for all seasonal shifts. ->Fall Equinox->Winter Solstice->Spring Equinox-> Feel free to reach out with questions.

Our second year holding this ride, but like 16th for the garden tour :) more details to come as it gets closer! Last year was SUPER fun! Gardens on the tour have a variety of aesthetics and are guaranteed to provide inspiration. It's also a great way to get out and meet your neighbors and pick up some gardening info (even if you don't have a green thumb, like myself). This will be a lovely short little ride where we will just ride together from house to house, short distance covered overall. we'll stop for 5-10-15 minutes per house to enjoy the garden and chat with the gardener (many of these people have spent countless hours over the years transforming their outdoor spaces!). Bring water/snacks/sunscreen & we're going to stop mid route at Essex park for their bathroom. Information here: • Look for signs marking each host garden • Stay on paths and sidewalks unless invited by host • Help children respect plants and protected places • No visiting pets of any kind in gardens • Restrooms are not available at private home

Sat, Jun 21, 2025, 12:00 PM
Meet at noon, rolling at 1230
Ride is a loop
End location: Orenco MAX Station
I wanted to host a couple of fun rides that follow routes I personally use for training in suburbia, aka the Westside! I'm a new and pretty young ride leader, so please bear with me. We'll meet at Orenco MAX station at noon and roll at 1230. The route is around 16 miles long, and a loop. It's called Bronthany as I'm combing "Bronson Creek" and Bethany! The route will start from Orenco MAX station, to the Cherry Lane Trailhead, which puts us on the Rock Creek Trail (Hillsboro). We take that up to Rock Creek Boulevard, and then make our first stop at Bethany Elementary. Then we go through Oak Hills, until we get to Terra Linda. We'll make another stop at Terra Linda Elementary. We'll have to ride on the roadway of NW 143rd until the trailhead for the Upper Westside Trail. Then, we'll take that to our second to last stop of Wismer Elementary. After that, we just follow the Rock Creek Trail all the way back to Orenco, and make our last stop at Bethany Lake Park. This ride has a bit of hills, particularly between Oak Hills and the Upper Westside Trail. I would recommend you bring an E-Bike if you are unsure of your climbing ability, but all bikes are welcome regardless. If you bring kids, please make sure they are comfortable with climbs. This will be a no-drop ride as well, so if you have any issues, we will help!

End location: Ends at St. Johns Naked Ride, Burlington Beach
Roll through Portland's beautiful Forest Park on the gravel Leif Erikson Trail. Naked , mostly naked, or clothed. The trail is an often overlooked gem, a beautiful place for your bicycle to take you on the first day of summer. Skinny tires are okay, but wide tires are better. We'll have spare tubes for flats. Meet at portapotties 1/4 mile up the road from the Thurmon St. Gate. This is a good ride for shy people who want to have a nice naked ride in a natural setting, but not be highly visible to the general public. Ends at the pretty secluded beach at the foot of Burlington Ave in St Johns.

Bright neon colors fill the air; we will be the most visible ride around. Running gear, biking gear, construction worker clothes; whatever is bright and loud on the eyes would be great, so bring it! And what’s a bright rider without a bright bike? Bicycles with bright decorations and sparkly lights are also highly desirable for this ride. Meet at 7. At 7:30 we ride from Ladd's Circle to a small cliff at Skidmore Bluffs (a.k.a. Mock's Crest), making a short pit stop along the way at our usual convenience mart. Arrive at the Bluffs by 8:45 and watch the sun set over the river. Chill and take photos of the sunset, and be in our group photo, especially as the sun’s yellow, orange, and red rays make our outfits really glow. Bring gloves or a jacket for when the sun sets. Will reschedule if it rains, as we need the bright sun to light us up. Hang out for a bit after sunset, and if you want to make this ride a loop, some of us will head out at 9:20(-ish) back to Ladd’s Circle.

Climate Change is making Portland summer nights almost unbearable. In the past, the air would cool at night. Providing refreshing respite from the heat. And allowing homes to cool off. Now the nights are routinely hot. We'll protest the lack of response by local and global leaders with a lighthearted protest ride. We'll stop at government agencies and call for decreases in greenhouse gas emissions. Also fossil fuel companies. Come roll around Portland and enjoy comfort in the only way possible -- bicycling naked! Bring signs and body paint if you have them! You can be naked, bare-as-you-dare, or clothed.

Celebrate the COOLEST winter holidays in the HOTTEST season of the year! Wear a costume. Sing carols at the top of your lungs. Make pedestrians & drivers do a double-take and say, "Whaaaaaa..!?" I’ll load my trailer with ice cold drinks and a loud bluetooth speaker. My playlist has Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Christmas songs, but we can take turns if you BYOM. Meet at Holladay Park (near Lloyd Center) at 12 noon to decorate your bike - - as usual, I'll bring holiday stickers, tinsel, etc. In previous years, riders have brought a Christmas tree & wreath on a trailer and beanie-baby dragons wearing Christmas hats, and some have dressed up as Santa, elves, and that awesome character "Jack" from "The Nightmare Before Christmas.” That Jack is not to be confused with the person named Jack who leads the "Hi-Viz Ride,” but he will show up and lead his "Halloween in June" ride at the same time. Both groups will ride together starting at 12:30 and be back at Holladay Park by 1:30 pm, where we’ll all vote for Best Costume and Best-decorated Bike, with a prize for each winner.

The spirit of Halloween is alive in Portland year ‘round. It’s never too scary and never too early in the year for Halloween candy. I’ll bring treats for those in costume. A few years ago this ride happened when it was 116 degrees out, so everyone do your 'no-heat-wave-dance' beforehand. Holladay Park has big water fountains you can bike through and splash in to cool off. This ride joins the “Winter Holidays in June” ride - more costumes! A fun chill ride with a stop for pics then back to Holladay by 1:30 pm for a costume & bike contest. If you plan to do the Shark-Naito Ride, get 2-for-1 use out of your shark costume! Join this ride, then stick around afterward and ride with a group of sharks to Shark-Naito. That ride meets one hour after this one ends, and its starting point is an 15-minute ride from Holladay. Dress up, eat treats, and listen to ghoulish music as we ride!

And if you didn't have a myspace profile picture, come dressed as Tom or your best 2005 scene kid look. Join us for a low-key, high-resolution community bike ride through the streets—where every stop is a chance to update your profile song (read: blast nostalgic emo bangers). 🦈 IT'S A SHARK-NAITO... 2! 🦈 It's a Sharknado, but on Naito Parkway. With bikes. Dress like a shark, dress like a tornado, dress like a beach-goer who *won't* get eaten by sharks because sharks are just cute lil guyz. Or dress like an orca, because hypothetically if sharks and orcas teamed up to take down mega-yachts... * Compete for the Best Shark Impression trophy * Enjoy music about sharks, beaches, and tornadoes * PUNS. Lots of puns. Be prepared to get wet and bike around fountains with your fellow sharks in a... SHARK-NAITO. Verrry loosely based on the Sharknado film saga. No touching other sharks or their belongings without consent. Report any issues to the HSIC (Head Shark In Charge). Shark.

– Are you among the majority of Americans who support unionized workforces, helping to bring that support to its highest level in 60 years? – Are you concerned about the unprecedented union-busting executive order that recently came from the White House? – Are you interested in unionizing your workplace but haven’t quite had the wherewithal to get started? – Are you outraged over the recent detentions of union members like Lewelyn Dixon, David Huerta, Alfredo Juarez Zeferino, and others? If you answered yes to these questions, join us for an informative ride through inner SE Portland with stops where we’ll hear from local union members. If you’re already a union member, wear your union shirt, bring a sign and a worker friend who isn’t a union member but could be. If you would like to participate as a speaker, get in touch. There might be time for one or two more union members with organizing experience to address the crowd. This ride is scheduled to occur before the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW)* two-day organizing training in Corvallis June 28–29th to give you time to sign up and plan your trip. More details in sign-up link below. *IWW represents Portland workers at Fried Egg I'm In Love, Voodoo Doughnuts, Peet’s Coffee, DIY Bar, and more. Ride organizer is not an IWW member, nor is attending the training as I already belong to a union, nor do I have any current or past affiliation with IWW. Just wanted to spread the word about what looks like a promising event to build more union membership in our local economy!
