Different ride leaders each week, but you can expect the ride to be social paced (8ish mph), no-drop, safe and welcoming, store stop with safe clean bathroom access and the ride is always a loop. We practice consent and non-violence specially with car interactions, what one ride does affects how all rides get treated. The Mellow Mondays are a space for (new) ride leaders to try out ideas in a very supported environment. You’ll often see Mondays rides appearing again during the warmer riding season. We follow the shift code of conduct and expect everyone to be respectful of themselves and others around them. This is so we can actually relax and have fun and connect with each other in a softer space. This isn’t a sober ride but we ask for moderation to keep the atmosphere relaxed. ---- THE RIDE IS NOT A LOOP ---- Monday, October 6 is the date for the Mid Autumn Festival that is celebrated throughout China and other east Asian countries. IMPORTANT: To prep for this ride you should go get a mooncake (or get a bunch if you wanna share) at any of the Asian grocery stores or bakeries; bonus points if you go to 82nd ave or further east to buy one! The ride will start at Clinton Market and we'll head over to Salmon/Taylor to go up the mountain. Once we get up to the top, then we chill and hang out and enjoy the night. Feel free to grab any other snacks and drinks at Clinton Market before we go, but make sure you have a mooncake. I mean, I guess you could also not have a mooncake if you wanna be like that but then you're celebrating a different holiday haha Feel free to head home at any point after. October 7th marks two years of genocide, and on this day we'll be riding from morning to dusk to honor Palestinian resistance and mourn the 680,000 Palestinians that are estimated to have been killed by Israel (with bombs and guns manufactured/funded by the US). Our ride will take us to places all over town, and you can join at the beginning of the ride or anywhere along the route that's convenient for you. Bar Botellon Tapas Menu

We will explore ways to get around by bicycle in Southeast Portland and check out some new bike paths and low-traffic streets. We'll also learn about the history of local neighbors' efforts to improve the community, check out some public art, see where the bike shops are, and end at a place to try some delicious taste sensations and socialize. Whether you know how special Portland is or want to learn more, this ride is for you! This is a moderate-pace (8 - 10 mph), no drop ride, and will be approximately 8 miles. Commute with the City Bike Bus every second Wednesday of the month through October! Hop on your bicycle and join one of nine unique bike bus routes coming from all over the city into downtown. At the end of the ride, we’ll all gather at Salmon Street Springs for coffee and treats. A bike bus is a group of students—but in this case, adults—biking to school—but in this case, downtown—together. Bike buses have been around for decades, but they have become increasingly popular in recent years. Each bike bus will depart from their start location at a different time and arrive at Salmon Street Springs at 8:15 a.m.

Thursday Night Ride is Portland’s longest-running weekly social ride, riding every Thursday night since 2015! Routes and ride leaders change weekly, but expect an energetic party-paced “rolling dive bar” of a ride for newcomers and regulars alike. Most rides will feature park and store stops, but come prepared to have fun and celebrate cycling together—other wheeled guests should respect the pace and space of cyclists. Find your bike Every Friday Night. We meet at Ladds circle, in the circle. If it is raining, head down to the covered area of Abernethy Elementary School. Ride slowly meets at 7 pm and departs roughly at 7:45/8ish pm. An honorary 3 minutes of Ladd laps (Ding Ding Ride/Ladd500) and then we send it. Sometimes we have guest ride leaders. Friday Night Rides are different every time. Sometimes we go to other rides happening around town during the summer. End of ride fires/good vibes/respect/no jerks/ We are a community. Respect each other! No aggressive, sexist, racist, or any other kind of BS will be tolerated. Violations against the code of conduct will be reported to shift2bikes. If you ride Sur-Ron/powerful electric bikes this is not the ride for you. You can come but you might be heckled. This is a bicycle ride. We meet at a different park in Portland every Saturday all year morning at about 9 to talk about home repair, travel plans, obscure board games, insects, etymology and sometimes bikes. Coffee Outside is often a meeting or starting point for adventures, day rides, group food cart rides or other outings. Bring a means to make coffee or some sort of coffee-adjacent beverage, or not. Instant chai? Perfect. A canned coffee beverage from the bodega? Legit. A special small batch blend of beans roasted in your neighborhood roastery that you measure by weight (portable scale, naturally) hand-grind in your titanium grinder before making a slow pour-over using hand-made paper filters and perfect temperature water? Sure, go for it. Baked goods are always appreciated but not at all required. Uniform? Nope. Fancy bike? Nope. Racing or ultra bikepacking chops? Nope. We enthusiastically welcome new faces and have no barrier to entry other than being your authentic self and leaving any bad/aggro attitudes at home. Community led ride - many folks now know the route and different folks can point the way each week! There are three meeting points: 1. SE Clinton St/41st Ave at 10 am (ride at 10:05) 2. SE Clinton St/26 Ave at 10:10 am (ride at 10:15) 3. Tilikum Bridge at (former) PDX Opera ~10:25 am; leaving from Tilikum location ~10:30 am 4. Arrive at PSU Market ~11 am Ride is on every Saturday the market is open (year round except weekend between Christmas and New Year). We will make every effort to note weather-related closures here promptly.

Ladies (trans ladies this means you too!) on regular bicycles are welcome to join our monthly ride. This ride is "no dudes, no e-bikes, no offense". I welcome e-bikes on the many other rides I organize, but they are not a good fit for this ride. If that makes you mad, please feel free to join one of the many rides on the Shift calendar (some of which welcome only e-bikes!). We always meet at the northern end of the trolley trail at SE 17th Avenue & SE St Andrews Drive, across from the Goodwill Bins and very close to the Springwater Trail - about a half mile from the Orange Line MAX (Johnson Creek/Tacoma stop). Some riders have trouble finding this for the first time, so you might consider studying the map before you head there. We're usually a small group of 4-6-8 riders. Our pace will be approximately 12-14mph, slower if it's super wet or on hillz. Our rest stops will be at parks with bathrooms and water spigots. We will not be stopping at any stores or cafes or restaurants, so be sure to bring enough snacks for yourself. It's also helpful if you can carry a small repair kit and spare tube (even if you are riding tubeless or don't know how to fix a flat). We'll plan to choose from one of the routes below at the start. WeBike events are for women, trans, and non-binary folks. This includes but is not limited to trans men, trans women, cis women, agender, gender queer, gender fluid, gender nonconforming, and Two Spirit people. WeBike will ride to the end of the Springwater Corridor Trail in Boring! And then a little bit beyond to Liepold Farms' Fall Festival. Tickets. The ride is free, but the festival is $20, tickets will be available online soon or at the gate. If you want to join us for just the ride out and then head back to Portland after a snack stop at the end of the trail, that's fine! Route. We'll meet up at Cartlandia a.k.a. Springwater Cart Park (Springwater Corridor Trail at SE 82nd Ave/8225 SE 82nd Ave, Portland, OR 97266), then take the car-free multi-use path 14 mostly-flat miles to Boring, and finally ride half a mile of slightly uphill road shoulder to the farm. There are several restroom/water refill stops along the way and we'll stop for quick snacks in Gresham and at the end of the trail in Boring. If you want to shorten your ride back, we can give you a MAX pass to grab the Blue Line in Gresham. Food. There is food to purchase at the festival, but we are allowed to bring our own food into the festival and eat it at the tables in the open-air “restaurant” barn. We'll stay at the farm for 2 hours before heading back. Read all about the festival at liepoldfarms.com. And yes, there are pumpkins! Both big and small. Pumpkins are fun to transport by bike, and we'll bring some old innertubes to help tie them down to racks and baskets. Bring your bike lock. The farm doesn't have a bike rack, but we're welcome to lean our bikes on a fence near the entrance. Rain or shine. This ride will happen rain or shine UNLESS the weather is so bad that the farm has canceled the festival (there is very little chance of that happening, though). Established in 2017, we ride once a month to enjoy what this city has to offer. Each month is led by a different CORVIDAE member, and therefore will be unique. We occasionally have themes or additional donations to different organizations. Additionally, host pop-up rides during the summer. ​We try to focus our rides on greenways, group etiquette, safety measures and general comradery. In addition to bike safety and accessibility, we want to promote using bicycles as an alternative to fossil fueled travel within Portland. This is a no-drop ride, but please bring your repair kit with a spare tube so we can keep the ride rolling. Please bring your own provisions; we’ll be stopping near stores, but not at them. Each member has an eye out for the crowd, will cork, sweep and be a general pillar of support. Ride pace is casual at around 10 miles with a few park stops. We ride bikes in Southeast Portland. We start at Foster food carts, if you can support the food carts and bar before we head out on the bike ride we meet up at 7:00 and We ride out at 8pm. We have guests ride leaders often. Please come prepared. Bring your lights maybe a spare tube patch kit tools to do such. Don't litter they are homeless not your can butler's. Join other bike-minded folks for drinks, food and community every Wednesday from 3-6 (or so). Bike Happy Hour is a place where everyone is welcomed and embraced by our community. Just show up and hang out. That's it! Follow @bikeportland on socials for updates and info about special themed nights or special guest appearances. All ages are welcome. We often have little kiddos running around. We've got coloring books and crayons, and feel free to bring your own activities: puzzles, crafts, games, or whatever. 3:00 pm - Quiet(er) hours. If you don't like crowds or want to talk to me (Jonathan) one-on-one, this is a great time to show up. 4:00 pm - Free Fries!
