1:30pm - 2:00pm
This a meet and greet for people signed up for the Seattle to Portland ride on July 15-16 (and/or fans and supporters!).  Let's get acquainted with others bold enough to be doing this crazy event!

Promptly at 1:45 I'll lead an icebreaker and round of questions to introduce everyone and find out reasons for riding/experience. We can then informally discuss carpooling to Seattle, mid-ride camping in Centralia, and possibly training rides.

No ride organized, just lunch outside at the food trucks (get there early to buy yours and bring it over) in the wonderful PNW summer, and the opportunity to recognize a few faces as we are plowing thru the 203 mile trek!

Maybe we can even discuss post-race massage trade :)

BIKETOWN REDISTRIBUTION "JOG 'N' RIDE" Link
SE Hawthorne and 12th Take Trimet (At the Biketown station next to Lardo)
5:00pm - 7:00pm, Warm-up stretches at 5:15, depart at 5:30. We'll stop in time to get to the Twin Peaks Ride
When a Biketown station has too many bikes, or too few, the Biketown team redistributes the bicycles to/from the station by truck. This "jog 'n' ride" aims to do the same thing, but using people power!

Make sure you're wearing comfortable clothing and running shoes, because the plan is to jog to a station with too many bikes, check them out, ride them to a nearby station with too few bikes, rinse and repeat. Both the jogging and riding paces will be slow and conversational, and most jog/ride legs will be a mere 1/4 to 3/4 of a mile. It is highly recommended that you pre-purchase either a Biketown annual subscription or day pass.

Not affiliated with Biketown, just a fan.

People joining from downtown can ride with Phil from SW Barbur and Sheridan (5:15) to meet us in the woods.  If you add yourself to this poll, we'll know how many to expect at each start: http://doodle.com/poll/64ardny5qc4xn8rn

http://ridewithgps.com/routes/22352502
There will be hills, but mostly gentle slopes, a social pace, and good bail-out options.  Many stops to admire worn-off paint and discuss possible improvements. We'll need to take the lane at times, as a group.

Dress up nicely (you don't have to be super-fancy, but it wouldn't hurt) and think about nice foods and beverages to bring. Blankets and nice picnic setups are good too. CAMAS CASTLE RIDE Link
IKEA, 10280 NE Cascades Pkwy, Portland, Oregon 97220 Take Trimet (Meet at the bike racks outside the main IKEA entrance)
10:00am
Pedalpalooza may be over, but the bike riding goes on! This 33-mile loop ride takes you from the Portland IKEA store over the I-205 Bridge to the castle in Camas, Washington. Yes there is a private residence in Camas that looks just like a medieval castle, complete with drawbridge and keep. It is not open to the public, so we will only be looking at the outside. Another highlight of the ride is the Lacamas Heritage Trail, which is a hard-packed 4-mile gravel trail for bikes and pedestrians along the shore of Lacamas Lake. Another section of trail goes through Lacamas Park with a bridge spanning the middle of Lower Falls. On the way back we'll ride through quaint downtown Camas and a fish hatchery.

GOTH RIDE 3: GHOSTS OF THE COLUMBIA Link
Peninsula Park, 700 N Rosa Parks Way Take Trimet (Between the rose garden and the gazebo)
4:00pm, We'll leave when it feels right.
Come one, come all, clad in black and ready to goth. This year, we are going to explore the ghosts of the north. I have found a historic graveyard of gorgeous proportions, and plan to hop from park to park in North Portland. We will explore the borders of goth and industrial. We will picnic on the Skidmore Bluffs before returning 'home' to the Lone Fir.

We will start at Peninsula park, this year, and end at Lone Fir. The route is 13 miles with mild hills. I've laid the route out to avoid very large uphill climbs.

Bring your playlist of post punk, goth, goth-hop, and even industrial music this year!

Come explore new places and deaths of the Ghosts of the North.

KIDICAL MASS PDX CAMPING TRIP 2017 Link FF
Goose Hollow Max Station, L.L. Stub Stewart State Park, Buxton, OR 97109 Take Trimet
10:00am
In July, Kidical Mass PDX will be going bike camping! We will be returning to Stub Stewert State Park for an overnight July 15th-16th. The route is a lovely 22 mile ride on quiet country roads and the Banks Vernonia Trail.

For this trip, we've rented a van to drive cargo bikes out to the end of the Blue Line - to avoid the long trip out to HIllsboro. This is generally a kids as passengers ride, although older kids have historically done the ride without problem.

Getting there:

Plan to meet at the Goose Hollow Max stop Saturday morning at 10. We'll load up cargo bikes into the truck, and then catch the train. The truck will meet us at the end of the Blue Line, and we'll ride 22 miles from there. We'll stop in Banks for lunch and grocer
