Meet at 8:45am, roll around 9am!
Ride is a loop
Ever get stuck behind a stopped freight train near SE 8th-ish & Division? Do you find it aggravating when the Bob Stacy Crossing elevators are out of service? Is your bike too heavy to carry up and down the stairs? Well aggravate no longer, because I GOT SOME HACKS FOR YOU! This ride will demonstrate several bike-friendly workarounds for a stopped train. Expect everything from common bike-ways to narrow paths and some (legal, I think) sidewalk riding. There will be some switchback pedestrian walkways which are passable (if you've got the skill) with long cargo bikes. Trailers and tandems may need to step off and walk in a couple places. I will provide commentary throughout this short ride and guidance on how best to navigate the tricky spots!! Short, informative ride, timed for the morning commute! Shout to Josh from BikeLoud who lead the "Wrong Side of the Tracks" ride a few years ago - thank you for the inspiration!!! RIDE W/ GPS LINK: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/51089591 Might do a re-do in July and/or August on a weekend so commuters can make it.

* if you are coming with us please sign up to get a tattoo!! Nichole really wants one and if you don’t, maybe you’ll win and she can get yours 😆. https://www.portlandpicklesbaseball.com/tattoo-rsvp Join us for a ride to Walker Stadium to see the Portland Pickles on their Tour de Portland (Bike to the Park) night. We'll meet at Ladd's Circle and ride to Walker Stadium. The game starts at 7:05 (but it's usually more like 7:15). We'll plan on getting to the stadium at 6:45. It's just a little over 5 miles to the stadium. The ride will be a slow to moderate pace, around 8-10 MPH as it's a gradual uphill the majority of the ride. Obviously this ride doesn’t include tickets to the game. Getting tickets all in the same section can be challenging the closer it is to game day, but you can always choose to get tickets on the berms. As of 5/22/25, Section 203 has a lot of open seats all together which could be fun. After the game we'll ride back to Ladds but you are free to split off and go your own way home.

TNR #531: John Russell leads us into Pedalpalooza!
Thursday Night Ride
Thu, Jun 5, 2025, 7:00 PM
Meet at 7:00, announcements at 7:30, leave after “Beer Minutes.”
End location: Not a loop, but usually with a fire.
Thursday Night Ride is Portland’s longest-running weekly social ride, riding every Thursday night since 2015! Routes and ride leaders change weekly, but expect an energetic party-paced “rolling dive bar” of a ride for newcomers and regulars alike. Most rides will feature park and store stops, but come prepared to have fun and celebrate cycling together—other wheeled guests should respect the pace and space of cyclists. New leadership, same positive vibes. While you might expect some wheelies and other chaos, riders are expected to follow Shift’s Code of Conduct, and if you’re banned from any Shift rides, TNR isn’t for you. No complaints, just accountability—if your behavior makes others feel uncomfortable or unsafe, please leave the ride before the ride leaves you. Riders should practice consent, accountability, respect, and de-escalation at all times. Stay behind the ride leader and don’t forget to thank a corker! 📍 Salmon Street Springs, every Thursday, rain or shine. 🕖 Meet at 7:00, announcements at 7:30. ✨Be an Empowered Bystander✨ See something off? Step up in a way that feels right for you: 🗣️ Direct: If it's safe, say *That's Not Right* for TNR. 🎭 Distract: Change the vibe and give them an out 🙋🏽 Delegate: Get help from a ride leader or trusted friend ⏳ Delay: Check in with the person afterwards 📝 Document: Write down what happened
⛲️ If you have any questions, concerns, or just want to get involved, come early and ask for the ride leader—we’ll see you at the fountain!

Metalheads: gather at Irving Park on Friday, June 6th for one of the heaviest rides of the year, celebrating the most brutal genre of music - Death Metal! THEME: Death Metal! This ride will be set to a soundtrack of death metal, with tracks from its' origins to the present. Expect a playlist of old school, brutal, technical, progressive, cosmic, cavernous, grinding, slamming, gore-soaked death metal (although probably no deathcore, sorry!). Break out your best battle jacket/vest or other death metal gear for this ride. This is a curated playlist, so synced sound systems are welcome but please refrain from conflicting sounds/bringing your own playlist. ROUTE: Route will be about 14-16 miles with a store stop, taking roughly 2.5 hours in total. Ride will be a loop - you will be back at Irving Park at about 10pm! This will be a social-paced, no-drop ride moving at about 8-12mph. All wheels welcome. While the route won’t be posted beforehand, feel free to ask the ride leader about specifics at Irving Park or the store stop if you have questions. Similar to a live metal show, the music will be loud; we’ll have some earplugs on hand, but we ask that you refrain from bringing pets on this ride. See you in the pit! --------- This ride aims to be a safer space. We take the Shift2Bikes Code of Conduct seriously and do not allow harassment, violence, racism, bigotry, threats, or other actions that go against the code of conduct. Ask before touching another person or their belongings. If you experience or witness an issue, please alert a ride leader. Banned riders are banned here.

Meet 7ish. Ride 8 ish.
Find your bike Every Friday Night. We meet at Ladds circle, in the circle. If it is raining, head down to the covered area of Abernethy Elementary School. Ride slowly meets at 7 pm and departs roughly at 7:45/8ish pm. An honorary 3 minutes of Ladd laps (Ding Ding Ride/Ladd500) and then we send it. Sometimes we have guest ride leaders. Friday Night Rides are different every time. Sometimes we go to other rides happening around town during the summer. End of ride fires/good vibes/respect/no jerks/ We are a community. Respect each other! No aggressive, sexist, racist, or any other kind of BS will be tolerated. Violations against the code of conduct will be reported to shift2bikes. If you ride Sur-Ron/powerful electric bikes this is not the ride for you. You can come but you might be heckled. This is a bicycle ride. Bring lights/locks/responsible vibes/a cup/ Casual pace with some extra zip 10-20ish mile rides with store stops/park stops/art stops NOT NECESSARILY A NO DROP RIDE… ESPECIALLY IN THE FALL/WINTER/SPRING. Be careful of slippery roads/leafs on ground/pot holes. Call out road hazards to help bike friends stay safe. 1st Friday is bottle share night. (bottle of wine/crazy beer/kombucha/coconut water/fizzy waters/anything you like to drink/want to share) 2nd Fridays are MMR - later night vibes to make it to Midnight Mystery Ride. If you want to lead a ride just ask! REPEAT… NOT NECESSARILY A NO DROP RIDE… ESPECIALLY IN THE FALL/WINTER/SPRING. Guest ride leaders wanted and appreciated! Instagram @fridaynightride

See insta link for video from 2023’s/2024 ride. Oh the grooves will be great and the dance spots will be cool but can you bring yourself to dance badly? I like to dance like a 5 year old at a wedding reception… ‘Dancing Ugly’ is a concept about freeing yourself from dancing for others gaze…However, we’re all going to be together doing our best to dance badly.. Special imaginary prizes will be handed out…Such as: Can’t keep a beat trophy, Do they need medical attention badge, Needing to pee really badly banner….And some others. We’re going to be getting down hard and badly on this dance ride. You’re invited to embrace the weirdness and be in an attitude that translates to personal Empowerment and a greater sense of self off the dance floor….Well that’s my excuse… ill fitting clothes recommended… Music will be dance centric and more than just EDM and Lizzo (but there will be Lizzo and EDM). Please message us on insta if there’s a specific song you wanna go mental to. Route will be a loop. Pace will be slow and social. Refreshment stop early. We will visit 3-4 dance spots each for about 10-15 mins before rolling. There will be a degree of impromptu dancing as well, in 2024 we bumped into a garage party and danced hard with them all briefly, in 2023 we stopped and helped a bunch of people who were unloading a massive u-haul. All our rides are safe/brave places, please help foster this communities acceptance and respect for each other. We expect everyone to respect consent and non-violence. The ride will have at least one stop to check on everyone and make sure everyone’s comfortable. Corkers and safe people volunteers appreciated, come talk with me (Moorland) at the start if you want to help support the ride.

We meet at a different park in Portland every Saturday all year morning at about 9 to talk about home repair, travel plans, obscure board games, insects, etymology and sometimes bikes. Coffee Outside is often a meeting or starting point for adventures, day rides, group food cart rides or other outings. Bring a means to make coffee or some sort of coffee-adjacent beverage, or not. Instant chai? Perfect. A canned coffee beverage from the bodega? Legit. A special small batch blend of beans roasted in your neighborhood roastery that you measure by weight (portable scale, naturally) hand-grind in your titanium grinder before making a slow pour-over using hand-made paper filters and perfect temperature water? Sure, go for it. Baked goods are always appreciated but not at all required. Uniform? Nope. Fancy bike? Nope. Racing or ultra bikepacking chops? Nope. We enthusiastically welcome new faces and have no barrier to entry other than being your authentic self and leaving any bad/aggro attitudes at home. We post the location every Thursday on the PDX Coffee Outside website, which our friend Chris updates, and our Instagram account.

Me again, #1 parade lover 😂I love how many of you came out last week to enjoy the Starlight parade not even really knowing what to expect so were going to run it back this week! Keep Hawthorne not being up in your thoughts. We will be riding from Ladds across Hawthorne bridge and setting up the first place we see that has enough space for us once we hit Naito. If you think we can do better PLEASE let me know and I am happy to shuffle around if theres a better spot! We will be standing once we get there and there isn't really anywhere to lock up your bike but last time we had 0 safety issues and some people locked up to each other instead. After the parade I will ride back to Ladds circle. My phone number is listed so please send me a text if you are late and want to meet up with us, Ill do my best to respond quickly and share my location. Bring anything you'd like to eat and drink with you since we probably wont be by anywhere to grab something. Bring a breakfast burrito or sandwich and coffee with! The parade is about 2 hours long and it will be broadcast so there will be commercial breaks aka time when no one is moving for a few minutes at a time so you are mentally prepared for that. You can expect TONS of flowers and lots of royal courts on display! If you are banned from other rides you're sure as hell banned here. We will follow the shift code of conduct and expect anyone coming to have fun and be respectful to each other and cars. If you help cork please use kindness and not aggression to keep the ride safe for the group.

Jackfruit, durian, fresh lychees or mangosteen? Depends on what looks good at the fruit market this time of year, which is earlier than last year's ride! We’ll pool our funds ($5 per person) and ride to get some fruit to share, eat in the park and play a fruit-themed party game. Finally, we'll ride to a spot for chè--Vietnamese iced dessert drinks. Fruit costumes encouraged but not required! You may leave the ride early at any time, but we will be riding back to the starting point. Approximately 7 flat miles for the full loop or 4.5 miles from start to iced dessert drink store. Ride crosses major roads including SE Woodstock, Foster, Holgate and Powell, using lights and short stretches of sidewalk where possible. We will regroup after intersections if we are split up as corking not guaranteed. Cross only when safe, we'll wait! While no one will be left behind, kids should be supervised and able to keep up with leisurely paced adults. Bring water, sun protection and $5 cash (exact change) for the fruit fund. (Disclaimer: participate at your own risk, not recommended if you are prone to food allergies. Event organizers are volunteers and assume no liability for adverse events.) MEET AT 12, ROLL AT 12:30 Join for a 12-mile ride around NE and SE with 8-10 stops to learn about notable buildings along the way. I'll be sharing quirky history and interesting architectural notes about buildings that have struck my eye while riding neighborhood streets. Fun fact: I drafted this route in my first month living in Portland as a way to get familiar with my new home. This is not a "family friendly" ride per se (I don't know the first thing about leading a ride for tiny humans!) but children over the age of 12 might enjoy the content. I aim to share information at a middle-school level. We will ride at an 8-10 MPH pace and regroup at the top of hills. The pace will be easy but the energy will be high! You can expect lots of fun music and chanting on the ride, maybe a few shenanigans along the way, and when we arrive at Laurelhurst there will be activities for leftists of all stripes. Trump piñata or guillotine-inspired cornhole, anyone? Don't forget to wear your keffiyehs, fly your pride flags, make a dessert to share (please label ingredients), and bring your zines, stickers, and mutual aid donations (clean clothing and non-perishable food). Hola gente de Portland We are psyched to bring you another cumbia-themed bike ride this June!!! We’ve been curating an awesome playlist of old and new cumbia jams that we’re excited to blast at full volume. Meet up at 3:00 p.m. and roll out at 3:30 p.m. We’ll start at Kenilworth Park and make our way to Sellwood Park. It’s about a 3-ish mile ride—nothing too intense. The main busy intersections we’ll be crossing are Bybee & 23rd and Bybee & Milwaukie. We usually hang out at the end chatting about cumbia music—or break into an impromptu dance party. Don’t forget to bring helmets, water, bike lights, and anything else you might need. Please practice consent in all aspects. If you experience any weird interactions, find Pablo or Rogelio—we’re here to check in and support you. Party pace as always... ¡que siga la cumbiaaaaaaaa! 🕺🚲💃

We nonetheless are going to celebrate Prince, his life, his music and his legacy . . . 40 years ago, on April 22nd, 1985, Prince’s follow up to his landmark PURPLE RAIN album (and companion movie), AROUND THE WORLD IN A DAY, was released on his newly formed Paisley Park label! So we’ll be celebrating those delicious Purple milestones as well! Starting at Sewallcrest Park (SE 32 and Market) riding around & heading to Prom and the to dance the night away! Bring Lights! Wear PURPLE! Ride at Own Risk! *Lighthearted prelude protest, expounding the principles of http://pdxwnbr.org/why (but without the nudity?) ;) #Pedalpalooza #TeamPrince

As we pass each other on the Eastbank Esplanade we'll share high fives and good vibes before rolling on to wherever the day takes us! Once we start rolling the ride shouldn't take longer than 15 minutes. Short n sweet! We'll meet at Tom McCall Waterfront Park, in the grass near the Oregon Maritime Museum (aka that old riverboat tug). Arrive at 10am sharp if you aren't fully confident in your rolling high-five abilities. We will have several eager and experienced high-fivers to show you the ropes, and options for stationary high-fiving as needed!

Sun, Jun 8, 2025, 1:00 PM
Meet at 1PM. Roll out at 2PM
Established in 2017, we ride once a month to enjoy what this city has to offer. Each month is led by a different CORVIDAE member, and therefore will be unique. We occasionally have themes or additional donations to different organizations. Additionally, host pop-up rides during the summer. We try to focus our rides on greenways, group etiquette, safety measures and general comradery. In addition to bike safety and accessibility, we want to promote using bicycles as an alternative to fossil fueled travel within Portland. This is a no-drop ride, but please bring your repair kit with a spare tube so we can keep the ride rolling. Please bring your own provisions; we’ll be stopping near stores, but not at them. Each member has an eye out for the crowd, will cork, sweep and be a general pillar of support. Ride pace is casual at around 10 miles with a few park stops. We aim to impress that this is a safe environment for all; no aggressive, sexist, racist, or any other kind of BS will be tolerated. Please review our Corvidae Code of Conduct. A monthly social ride for cargo bikers and the cargo-curious! Check the calendar for reoccurring Cargopaloozas happening every month during bike summer - each with a different theme... June's Cargopalooza will be a social meetup beginning at Mt Hood Brewing near the Tilikum Crossing bridge. Begin the evening by "OoOOooing" and "AaAahing" over a variety of cool cargo contraptions. We'll then take a chill, meandering cruise through the inner east side, yap about whether front loaders or long tails are superior, stop for snacks and bevies, and finally find a spot to relax in the grassy lawns of Irving Park. Strictly good vibes only: absolute zero tolerance policy for jerks, creeps, and fascists. ALL BIKES WELCOME!! ALL BIKES ARE CARGO BIKES!!!

Get ready to light up your mat and your mood with playful, energizing Vinyasa flow! This class is all about finding your rhythm as we move through dynamic sequences that link breath with movement. Expect a mix of flowing transitions, pranayama (breath work) and lots of creativity to keep things fresh and fun. Yogis will leave feeling strong and balanced. Cultivate inner awareness while building strength and flexibility. Instructor Bio: Carla Bartow (she/her/hers) I first started practicing yoga as an infant at mommy and me yoga. I became a dedicated practitioner in 2012, while I was living in Upstate New York. I came to vinyasa yoga at that time, when I was training for riding century bike rides. I moved to Portland in 2013 to live car-free and I have done so for over a decade now. I have studied yoga in-depth with Audra Carmine from whom I received certification to teach vinyasa yoga. It is my great honor to be a vessel of growth through teaching yoga. Participants are encouraged to bring their own mats and water bottles however we have a few available for community use if needed. This is a donation-based sliding scale yoga class. Suggested donation is $5-$20. Donations are collected in person at class via online donation or cash.

End location: Ride is always a loop
Our instagram is nakedHeartspdx so you can see how we ride. Weekly themed rides. Different ride leaders each week, but you can expect the ride to be social paced (8ish mph), no-drop, safe and welcoming, store stop with safe clean bathroom access and the ride is always a loop. We practice consent and non-violence specially with car interactions, what one ride does affects how all rides get treated. The Mellow Mondays are a space for (new) ride leaders to try out ideas in a very supported environment. You’ll often see Mondays rides appearing again during the warmer riding season. We follow the shift code of conduct and expect everyone to be respectful of themselves and others around them. This is so we can actually relax and have fun and connect with each other in a softer space. This isn’t a sober ride but we ask for moderation to keep the atmosphere relaxed. We recommend Abraham Fixes bikes in N Williams and NomadCycles (e-bike specialist) for repairs/sales and parts. Our friends over at RideSafePDX host regular ride and we’ recommend those as a pleasant warm group to ride with.

Quick how to lead a ride tutorial before Mellow Mondays ride. Things we’ll cover, Theme creation, Creating the atmosphere you want, Sourcing support, Route planning, Speed, What if’s…… Then QnA. This is meant as a conversation opener and an opportunity to move towards leading your own rides. This will be lead by Moorland with occasional support. Brief Bio: NakedHearts has lead around 350 ish rides, with 100 ish different ride leaders, we’ve worked with local schools, government agencies, festivals, DJ’s, Bands, venues, parades, artist groups of all kinds and supported 100 ish other rides. So we have a little experience. But the all the experience just teaches caring about the ride and riders is what matters, and everything flows from there. For most people that comes naturally. Kiro (who’s only 8 years old) is considered the best ride leader and he cares about the ride and riders and having fun and that’s what makes him the best because that’s his focus. The mechanics of leading and organizing can seem daunting but it’s within reach of all of us.

riding by 6
8:00 PM
End location: In or near Multnomah Village, an easy 2 miles from the start.
It's easy to navigate southwest by bike once you know how far up or down you need to go on which hill. Tour some of our unfinished bikeways and missing connections with an outside-the-box look at the terrain, "paper streets", trails, and stairs. See how auto traffic has ruined all of the flat and direct routes and find a few precious places cars haven't taken over. We'll see one or two of the very rare parks with restrooms, and various transportation projects/issues, while generally avoiding most uphills and car traffic. If you don't turn when I turn, you may get lost. (We will see, but not ride the stairs or most trails.) Gather at 5:30 at Fulton Park, ride at 6, finish around 8. 12-ish mile loop, if we see it all, but you can bail near the start from several points in the middle. This will not be a fast or hard ride and nobody will be left behind. Note: sunset is shortly after the end. We'll try to cover at least 6-8 miles and may pause at food carts/beer or just stop at a store and finish the whole loop. Kids are welcome but will need to be passenger/stoker unless they are capable riding around traffic, okay with climbing, and can handle ~12mph comfortably. Contact enobacon at gmail dot com with questions.

Hello beautiful people of Portland, It’s my birthday on June 11th, and I want to spend it outside—riding bikes and listening to one of my favorite rappers. I’ll be bringing a big speaker and playing Larry June’s greatest hits. Think: music about investing in property, drinking green smoothies, watering houseplants, and driving fast cars—a balance of things. I’m hoping for good weather! Oh, and I’ll have a limited amount of orange juice to hand out for free in honor of Mr. June. We’ll start at Kenilworth Park, then ride through Ladd’s Addition, stop at Colonel Summers Park, and finally loop back to Kenilworth. It’s about a five-mile route with two stops Bring water, a helmet, bike lights, party favors, and your favorite summer fit! Can’t wait to ride with you all! 🍊🍊🍊

Join this Greenways ride to the June 12th Grand Opening of a newly renovated space in East Portland called Parklane Park, a large 25-acre park that was once the site of a private airport, previously known as Multnomah County Park, (nicknamed Candy Cane Park for its red and white stripped playground). For the past few years, the city was busy making big changes (see link below), let's go check them out and attend the Ribbon Cutting ceremony. District 1 council members Loretta Smith and Jamie Dunphy will also be in attendance at the opening celebration. The new Parklane Park (at SE 155th Ave & Main St) features a new playground, splash pad, basketball and tennis courts, soccer fields, pavilion for community events, covered picnic areas, community garden, skate park, dog off-leash area, paved walking paths, additional restrooms, parking, and hundreds of new trees. Along with two new commissioned pieces by local artists through the City’s Percent for Art program. The group ride to Parklane Park is 4 miles, and the complete loop back to the start is 12 miles. The loop route will use portions of the 80s, 100s, 130s, 150s, "4M", and HOP Greenways. We meet at the northeast corner of Harrison Park, directly on the 80s Greenway, for the start of the ride. Meetup time is 2:30, and we leave at 2:45 to reach the ceremony in time.

Wear your favorite Eras Tour outfit, bring the friendship bracelets and a sound system (if you've got one). We'll be riding through the whole Eras Tour setlist as we relive the memories and make some new ones along the way. If 3 1/2 hours is too long to ride, we'll be stopping at Mt Tabor Park about an hour ish into the ride to listen to 2 surprise song mashups (guitar and piano of course) and also trade friendship bracelets if anyone wants :). The stop won't be longer than 30 minutes so we can complete the setlist and then we're ending the ride at Swift Lounge off Broadway.

Summer is here. Stretch the legs, dust off the saddle, and get ready to shake what your momma gave ya! This ride is for those who want to boogie, and boogie they shall. Meet Me At the Dance is for people who want to lose themselves in the music. Close your eyes and let the rhythm take over. The music is gonna be fire, and who doesn't love a beautiful Portland summer evening spent outside dancing? Bring yourself, bring a friend, bring some lights, and let's celebrate the start of this sweet new season. It is also the first of a three-part trilogy ride. The theme is School's out so rip up your homework, quit the studying, and get your body moving to the beat! Deets here: We will meet up at Irving Park at 8:30PM, depart at 9 for a short and easy ride to another park, and have our first DJ of the night perform. After their set, we will hop back on our bikes, enjoy our leisurely ride to our next park and find our next DJ there. Expect to be at each park for ~1 hour. The ride is a loop and will end back at Irving roughly around 1. This is a safe space and all are welcome who support respectful and considerate behavior. Please leave no trace and leave the parks how we found them.

Please bring anything that makes you feel young: toys, stuffed animals, nostalgic snacks, bubbles, etc. We will play games, climb trees, and just be frickin' present! After all, we're just kids on bikes at the end of the day. This ride is open to all ages and will be at a slower pace. Please note we will be crossing the Hawthorne Bride and that this ride is not a loop.

Back again with a new route and even more transit awesome, get ready for Northeast Portland Streetcar History Part Deux. Before things got too fast and furious with its MAX trains and Tillikum Crossings, Portland at the beginning of the 20th century, like most American cities, had an extensive streetcar network which fueled development of neighborhoods far from the city center. Commercial development followed the streetcar, creating many of the walkable neighborhoods we love today. Portland abandoned and paved over its streetcar tracks in the years after World War II, but here and there you can see tracks trying to peak up from below, reminding us of a time before cars commandeered our roads and good public transit was considered the height of fashion and technology and essential to any decent city. Learn more about the history of the streetcar in Northeast Portland, and its long lasting impact on development and transit in Northeast Portland. This 9 mile loop ride will include stops showing different pieces of the network. This educational ride will be family friendly and all are welcome.

Are you part of a tenants union or interested in figuring out how to organize one? Awesome! This ride is for you! This ride is for you even if you're not a renter, because tenants unions are playing a critical role in keeping our city affordable and livable, which benefits EVERYONE. We're celebrating the importance of tenants unions by bringing the energy, the big speakers, and an inspiring playlist on a tour of buildings around town where residents have organized (or are working on organizing) a union. At each stop we'll hold a fun mini-rally and pick up any residents who want to come along on the ride. We'll eventually end in a park for a picnic and some community-building games and conversation. We'll have catered vegan food and drinks, but also feel free to bring snacks to share!

Kidical Mass PDX kid friendly ride to frozen yogurt! 17 years of family bike rides
Kidical Mass PDX

Meet at 2:00pm, ride at 2:15pm
3:30 PM
Ride is a loop
Celebrate the 17thh anniversary of Kidical Mass PDX with a bike ride downtown to get frozen yogurt! This family-friendly, kid-paced bike ride first happened in June 2008 on a route downtown similar to this one. This year we’ll ride from Tanner Springs park in NW Portland to Director Park, where we can get self-serve frozen yogurt with topping at Tartberry, a local shop. The ride is free, but bring money for yogurt. Meet at 2:00pm, ride at 2:15pm. The ride is a loop, 3.5 miles total, with a 30 minute break at the park and yogurt shop after 1.5 miles, so it is suitable for most young bike riders who can pedal their own bike without training wheels. We should be back to the start by 4:00 pm. We ride at a moderate pace for little pedalers and parents on cargo bikes. Kids should wear a helmet, be able to balance and pedal in a straight line, start and stop. Cargo bikes, tandems, trailers and tag-a-longs are great for kids who haven’t learned to pedal. Adult corkers are welcome to join as a traffic safety superheroes. We’ll ride together as a group, rain or shine, because kids are traffic too!

We leave at 5….At 5, actually 5, not 5:20 or 5:05….5:00
End location: Bar Carlo for PUNK ROCK PRIDE
More details TBD but we ride to the Punk Rock Pride event at Bar Carlo on 6433 SE Foster road. The event has DJ’s, Drag, Brass bands, and a lot more and is raising money for the Trans Law Center. The organizers and people involved are doing something special and it’s a privilege we get to bring a ride and start a ride there. Our route will have us arriving for 5:45pm just in time to settle for a performance by the wonderful Brassless Chaps. We’ll be at the location till 7:15 ish when we start the New Gen Punk Alt Ride from there. Safety: If you’re a banned rider, you’re banned here too. As with all our rides: We practice consent. No matter who you’re with we ask you ask for permission before touching anyone or their property. That when you ask, you seek, listen and empower ‘no’. We practice, non-violence specifically around car interactions. Everyone we meet in a car is a neighbor and we and other rides will meet them again, our respect and appreciation has an impact. If you are aggressive towards any car you put everyone on the ride at risk and it’s completely unacceptable, save it for your commute. If anyone makes you feel uncomfortable please find a NakedHearts rider for support or come to the front and talk with the ride leader or just ask to ride with us. There will be at least one safety stop so we can check on everyone and to have all the support people identify themselves.

Meet at 1715, rolling at 1745
End location: Tigard Public Library
I wanted to host a couple of fun rides that follow routes I personally use for training in suburbia, aka the Westside! I'm a new and pretty young ride leader, so please bear with me. We'll meet at the North parking lot of Garden Home Recreation Centre at 1715 and roll at 1745. The route is about 7 miles long, and will end at the Tigard Library, however the Tigard Transit Centre is relatively close if you would like to take transit back. We will mostly be on the Fanno Creek Greenway and Tigard Heritage Trail, but we will have to take Denney Road to cross over the 217. It's a relatively flat ride aside from the Denney overpass, so all types of bikes and abilities are welcome, including E-bikes. We will make an intermediate stop at Greenway Park. This will be a no-drop ride as well, so if you have any issues, we will help!

We ride at 7:15.
What’s alternative music in 2025 when the mainstream musical landscape is all 15 seconds of bars repeated and catered towards Tik Tok, vocals auto tuned, and a banality that makes 80’s pop look profound. What’s Punk music in 2025? Who’s pushing back and blazing new trails and entrenching old trails? Who’s screaming out against the system and doing so with humor and more frustration than a Labrador looking at you holding a piece of cheese for more than 20 seconds. This ride is going to be a musical journey and isn’t all shouty aggro punk….there’s also a majority women artists and some music that’s so skillful and beautiful it’s the clear sounds of a band that’s played and gigged extensively. The ride itself isn’t going to be like The Opera ride, which is the most punk ride in the World. But we might do some silly stuff. Route will be easy, social paced, store stop with safe clean bathroom access. We do our best to keep the rides no drop. As with all our rides we practice Non-violence specifically with car interactions. We also ask everyone (even wives and husbands) to practice consent around touching others and others property. Ride is rain or shine. The MotorHead Vs the World ride got hammered with rain but the vibe was fantastic, Please help keep the space safe and respectful by taking care of yourself and those around you .
