SUMMARY:OG Goth Ride
CONTACT:Cedarbeard
DESCRIPTION:date change! now 8/8\nThis Goth ride meets on a Sunday
afternoon\, 1st of August. This is MY Goth\, as Punk is one influence on
the specific English genre I have in mind. We tour cemeteries\, rose
gardens\, and interesting architecture with historical lectures as part of
the thing. Goth is more than just fashion to me\, it's a vibe in music
and art that honors ancestral currents\, thus cozy with the strange beauty
of graveyards and the thorny lush of the rose. Not a late night dance
party\, more like a picnic in the park. Sound systems play full albums\,
we take turns leading as DJ's. MY Goth is The Cure\, Dead Can Dance\,
Cocteau Twins\, This Mortal Coil\, Bowie but only the albums he did with
Brian Eno\; Coil in their Lunar phase such as Music To Play In The Dark\,
The Ape Of Naples\, Astral Disaster\; Love's Secret Domain is also a key
favorite since to me it bridges the Solar and Lunar phases of the band.
The Banshees. This is for while we ride. In the parks and gaveyards I'd
like us to bring instruments for analog jams. Picnic in the graveyard is
the theme for this Goth ride\, inspired by the ones I attended in the
past. There will be hills. Gears highly recommended.\nRide at
 3ish\nhttps://shift2bikes.org/calendar/event-13945
LOCATION:Lone Fir Cemetery\, 26th Ave side\nSe 26th ave and Se Stark
st.\nPlease respect graveyard etiquite and refrain from walking upon
headstones and parking bikes on graves. Leave no trace. Be kind.
