DESCRIPTION:Bike the Levees is back on August 27th! The Multnomah County 
 Drainage District would like to thank the community for joining us at the 
 first event in June and are excited to bring this event back!\n\nDid you 
 know there are 27-miles of levees along the lower Columbia River? These 
 levees reduce the risk of flooding for tens of thousands of jobs and 
 households\, places of cultural and historical significance\, and hundreds
  of acres of parks and natural areas.\n\nJoin us for a unique opportunity 
 to learn about this hidden infrastructure\, as well as the History of the 
 Vanport Flood of 1948 – a tragic event that displaces thousands of 
 residents. Learn how partners are working together to improve the flood 
 protection system and reduce the risk of catastrophic flood events in the
