DESCRIPTION:The ride will begin with a community jam session - bring an 
 acoustic instrument if you have one\, or just hang out and enjoy! Then we 
 will hop on our bikes and take a nice\, leisurely ride\, ending at the 
 Village Ballroom for a good ol' fashioned square dance. No prior 
 experience is necessary! The square dance features Amy Hofer and Maggie 
 Lind as callers\, and the Old Barn Preservation Society playing some sweet
  square dance tunes! It is fun and easy to learn even if you haven't 
 square danced before. Dress up or dress down\, bring a partner or not - it
  all works! This is a great chance to experience the thriving old time 
 music and square dance community in Portland. No cost for the bike ride\, 
 but the square dance is $10\, sliding scale. \n\n4:45pm-ish - 5:45pm: 
 Gather at Peninsula Park\, community jam (I will have a basic tune list - 
 contact me for more info!)\n5:45pm: The ride begins!\n6:45pm: The ride 
 ends at the Village Ballroom\n7:00pm - 9:00pm: Square Dance! \n\nContact 
 me if you need assistance with transporting your instrument during the 
 bike ride.\nVolunteer positions available for a free ticket to the square
