DESCRIPTION:Join Columbia Slough Watershed Council and Flood Safe Columbia
  River for a free 7.25 mile bike tour of Portland’s flood safety system - 
 free lunch included!\n\nA system of flood control infrastructure – hidden 
 in plain sight – protects our region from major disasters. On this slow 
 paced ride\, participants will explore this system which protects homes\, 
 businesses\, airports and critical community services from flooding\, and 
 learn about the plan to upgrade this system to meet Federal safety 
 standards and to prepare for extreme weather events associated with 
 climate change. This event is best suited for those 14 and older. Minors 
 must be accompanied by an adult.\n\nRoute: This one-way ride will begin at
  Aloft hotel\, located at 9920 NE Cascades Pkwy in Cascade Station. The 
 ride will end at Multnomah County Drainage District (MCDD)\, located at 
 1880 NE Elrod Dr. Check in opens at 9:30am\, event begins at 10am. 
 \n\nWhat to bring: Pack along water\, any necessary snacks and come 
 prepared for the weather - we will be riding rain or shine. Helmets will 
 be required for all riders throughout the event. Additional snacks will be
  provided\, as well as free lunch at at the end of our 
 ride.\n\nAccessibility: A restroom will be available at Aloft (start 
 location)\, as well as at MCDD\, our end location. We will have a bike 
 mechanic with us during the ride\, should any issues arise. This event is 
 best suited for intermediate riders.\n\nOfficial route will be sent out
