DESCRIPTION:Bollards Ride!\nWhat the heck is a bollard? A bollard is a 
 short pole or column stuffed into the ground to protect pedestrians and 
 pedestrian spaces from motor vehicles. Want to keep cars off hiking 
 trails? Stick a bollard at the trailhead! Want to keep traffic off the 
 sidewalks? Line them with bollards! Are you looking for physical 
 separation between bike lanes and automobiles? You guessed it\, more 
 bollards! For those who already know\, and those who would like to know 
 more-- this is a ride all about pedestrian safety devices. This ride is 
 hosted by members of StrongTowns PDX\,  and we'll be focusing on one of 
 the most cost effective methods of separating vehicles from pedestrians\, 
 and imagining a safer Portland for all.\n\nThis ride will have a tactical 
 urbanism flair! We will be installing paper bollards at various locations 
 along the route to highlight the cost effective infrastructure 
 improvements PBOT could make to improve pedestrian safety. Better street 
 design saves lives. \n\nPlease bring panniers or cargo bikes to help us 
 haul the bollards! Safety-themed costumes very much appreciated.\nMeet at
