DESCRIPTION:Ride starts at the proposed Montgomery Park Transit Center!! 
 We will slowly roll through the area where there are plans for housing\, 
 transit expansion and jobs\, construction set to begin 2026\; with lots of
  stopping to look around\, visualize and chat! From there its a short ride
  over to Friendly House on NW Thurman for the workshop.\n\nfrom the 
 website: Tell us what you think! This workshop is an opportunity for you 
 to share your ideas about the future character of this unique part of 
 Portland. Your input will help us develop a Design Character Statement to 
 accompany the MP2H - Northwest Plan. The character statement is used in 
 design review of future development proposals.\nThe meeting will begin 
 with an open house about the draft MP2H - Northwest Plan. Participants 
 will then have an opportunity to share their thoughts about the design 
 character of future employment\, commercial\, housing and mixed-use 
 development in the area between NW Vaughn and NW Nicolai streets west of 
 Highway 30.\nTentative Agenda (light snacks will be provided)\n6:00 PM 
 Open House – drop in to learn about the MP2H - Northwest Plan\n6:40 PM 
 Workshop – small groups to focus on design and character\n7:45 PM Wrap-
 up\n8:00 PM Adjourn\n \nThe MP2H-NW Plan Discussion Draft identified land 
 use\, transit and transportation changes being considered for the area 
 between NW Vaughn and NW Nicolai west of Highway 30. The draft plan 
 proposed transitioning the area over time\, from an industrial and 
 employment area into a mixed-use area with housing\, employment\, 
 commercial services\, and other uses. This mixed-use area would be served 
 by a future extension of the Portland Streetcar North-South Line to the 
 northwest. The MP2H-Northwest (NW) Plan effort is continuing\, with an 
 updated proposed plan expected later this year.\nVisit the website for
