DESCRIPTION:Enjoy a Friday day ride up north of the border! Vancouver Lake
  is a fun but underused recreation spot just on the other side of the 
 Columbia\, with paddling\, swimming\, hiking & birdwatching 
 opportunities.The ride is 11 miles one way. Pace to be determined by the 
 group--though expect speeds somewhere in the middle of fast and slow. 
 Bring a picnic lunch and your swimsuit. We can eat and play at the lake or
  at nearby Frenchman's Bar. Ride back may be as a group\, or may be on 
 your own.Be aware that Vancouver has an all-ages helmet law\, but I won't 
 enforce anything and probably won't wear one.\nRide at
