The Green New Deal is gaining traction in this country and the time for action is past due. While the Green New Deal at a national scale would meet many existing societal needs, some socialists argue that a housing guarantee (housing for all) needs to be prioritized as a core value of a Green New Deal policy. Come join us to see some examples of what Portland is doing to address the housing crisis, acknowledging how this connects to environmental justice, and how we can envision a national housing guarantee through the Green New Deal. The ride will be hosted by the Portland Chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). Join us by collectively envisioning the world we need, now more than ever before.
