5 Rides with 5 start times. See online calendar.
7:58 PM
End location: Each Ride Ends at the Start of the next
HEAT UPDATE: Ride not canceled. This will be the second naked century in 100° weather. The route length will probably shrivel in the sun, but we'll be too distracted with hunting for sprinklers and shaded streets to notice. ——————————————— Join a handful diehard naturalists for one or more of the following rides: Morning Skyclad Ride at 8:45 Skyclad is a term from Paganism describing rituals that are conducted in the nude. We will be inducing the magical powers of the bicycle and using the morning rays reflecting from our skin to amplify the magic as we wrap all six quadrants into our spell. Buff ride to St Johns at 10:45 Come get some naked kilometers in before the heat is blasting. This is the ride that will take up the slack. We'll clock some clicks so that all riders can enjoy a more leisurely pace on the other legs. Join a blind stoker and me on a streak to St Johns and back for the 150 minute, medium-fast jaunt. We'll take a couple short breaks. We will coordinate to meet the century's third leg that's gathering in Westmoreland Park for the . . . SunieDae Nekkid / TerriSue Two at 1:30 Ride in recognition of the SunieDae Nekkid Ride (the very first naked ride in the US — 2002, right here in Portland!) and in recognition of Teri Sue Webb, the first person to use naked bicycling as a form of protest. Again, we will induce the magical powers of the bicycle and use rays reflecting from our skin to amplify the magic as we wrap Portland into our spell. We'll meet up with the second leg of the century (Buff Ride to St. Johns) and then we'll continue to roll our magical shine through the streets of Portland, ending at Wallace City Park in time to recuperate for the fourth leg of the Skinny Century, The . . . . . The Fig Leif Ride at 4:15 RIDE LIKE YOUR BIKE IS ON FIRE, after you climb the fire road. (Climb is the operative word.) Silently LOUD, Naturally Lit at 6:00 This ride is LOUD (sans clothes) and SILENT (sans talking/music). We will ride in honor of the fallen; visiting some ghost bike sites and other locations of remembrance. This ride is not connected to the wildly popular "Loud & Lit" ride that will happening later in the evening. _______________________________________________ 100(ish) kilometers spread over 8 hours and 5 rides. mostly medium paced with short breaks. Disrobe to YOUR comfort level and ride in protest of petrol dependency. Inviting all the shapes, colors, sizes, genders, and types. Celebrating *Body Freedom* and *Safety in Numbers*. Yes: Sips, signs, snacks, and sunscreen. Cameras must stay stowed (except at optional group photo). ORS 163.465 allows nonsexual public nudity as a legal form of protest.
