Departs at 5:00 immediately following The Street Trust Move More Challenge event
Ride is a loop
ABOUT: Sarah Iannarone of The Street Trust will host along with special guests. We'll learn about the investments Portland has made to improve cycling in East Portland, talk about what other cities around the world are doing to make room for the transformative potential of e-biking and other innovative transportation modes, and connect around our shared interest in changing transportation policy locally and statewide (including how we fund it). LOGISTICS: TThis event will depart AT 5:00 SHARP immediately following the Street Trust's Move More Challenge activation party (formerly the Bike Commute Challenge), which is happening 3-5 pm in Gateway Discovery Park's "The Porch" in the northeast corner of the park along 106th near Halsey, which will be our departure and stopping point. This is an e-bike focused ride, so people on non-motorized bikes may have a hard time keeping up. E-scooters are not recommended, as they also have a hard time keeping up with e-bikes. FAQ UPDATE - * The two closest Biketown (e-bike) stations will be fully stocked. * We will ride rain or shine. * The ride is a closed-loop, we'll be out about an hour.
