    Loop Ride is a loop

The Arbor Lodge Tree Team and North Portland Parks Advisory Group invite you to join them on a bike ride featuring Heritage Trees in Parks and along the bike route in between parks. Learn about beautiful heritage trees and the stories behind them in this family-friendly ride in two separate loops. All levels of bike skills welcome, we'll be taking it easy. PENINSULA PARK LOOP ================================ The first loop leaves Peninsula Park at 10-10:15am – meet on the west side of the rose garden – and returns there about 90 minutes later. We'll travel south to Overlook Park and the Arbor Lodge Tree Team will talk about trees at several stops along the way. Loop about 5-6 miles at a slow pace. We'll break for lunch. Up for another loop? COLUMBIA PARK LOOP ================================ Then meet at Columbia Park near the cottage, where we will leave at 2-2:15 to ride to Cathedral Park, Pier Park, and the Charles Jordan Community Center to point out more amazing trees in North Portland. After a 9-mile ride, we'll return to Columbia Park. There are about 2 very short sections on gravel un-paved roads, in good condition. Also, we will likely walk up the hill in Cathedral Park. Slow-pokes welcome!
