Let's ride bikes ALL NIGHT on the shortest night of the year! Now running (almost) quarterly on our orbital clock: we rode all day for winter solstice, and on the spring equinox. Gear up for the Summer 2022 version! This is a LONG (40+ mi), not-a-loop ride. There will be climbs. Swift pace with stops. This ride is challenging but that makes it more memorable. Not a "no drop" style ride: due to it's nature the group has historically thinned between sunset and sunrise. We won't aim at stranding anyone in an obscure place in the wee hours, but consider this eventuality. At the first or second stop is a good time to consider if you are keeping pace and decide if you can commit to the whole night, if you are unsure. Come prepared! Bring layers, lights, libations and light fare. Tune your bike. There will be at least one stop at a 24h facility to replenish. Leave no trace! Let there be music! Let us watch our sun dip and reappear and celebrate by turning our wheels in between! We'll crank gears as we shift into summer...
