This is a memorial ride for Dede Desperate Willis. Dede was a huge pedalpalooza fan and participated in, and lead rides regularly for many years. They worked with queer/trans youth professionally as well as advocating for other marginalized/opressed populations, and was a social justice warrior for life! They have changed countless lives in their work here on this earth and in many Portland communities, and will continue to change lives as we fight for Justice for Dede and trans folks moving forward! We lost Dede back in December 2021 and I apologize if you are just now finding out now. Dede was loved by so many that it has been impossible to notify everyone who has lost them, although we are certainly trying our best while in deep greif and fighting for justice. It is still unclear what happened, and the world will quite frankly never be the same without them. If you knew and loved Dede and/or are trans/non-binary identified and want to hear their story and show your support, please come ride with us to honor them and celebrate the gift that it was to have this baddie in our lives for as long as we did! We all miss our ride or die bestie, and want them to know it as they transition to the other side. So get on those bikes and come on out and make some noise and join the cause! We will never stop loving them!! #justicefordede
