Gather at 8 pm, Ride at 9 pm
Calling all friends and soon to be friends out for a psychedelic themed celebration of love, connection, and the majestic sweetness of what it means to be alive. This ride honors the late Albert Hoffman, who, upon discovering the magical compound known as LSD, went on a lovely bike ride back to his house. (Fun fact: Hoffy took LSD just about every day for the last twenty years of his life, and lived till the ripe old age of 99). Anywaaaay, this ride also celebrates just how precious life is, the innate beauty of humanity, and how we're all so lucky to be alive. Dress in your favorite 70s or trippy clothes, and adorn your bike in all sorts of wondrous lights as we bike around Portland giving a big ol' french kiss to existence. We'll gather at Irving Park and celebrate our communal oneness with all living things. After an hour or so, we'll venture forth into parts unknown, traveling through a couple quadrants, and over a bridge or two. Nothing too strenuous, and we'll end up somewhere's in inner PDX for a late night of festivities. As with all travels out into the wilderness of the spirit realm, bring beverages and snacks--who knows if we'll come across a merchant along our way. Xoxoxoxo The Spirit of John Lennon *Absolutely no selling or soliciting of illegal drugs at this event.*
