Lesson at 5, ride at 5:30 or look for bikes at the concert end point
End location: Ventura Park, 460 SE 113th Ave, Portland, OR 97216 (look for concert area)
We'll meet in a park to dance to classic cumbia songs (including a basic cumbia step lesson), then ride to the free Melao de Cuba Salsa Orchestra concert in Ventura Park (concert starts at 6:30 pm) for more music and dancing. Cumbia can be danced solo or with a partner. Shoes should allow dancing in the grass/dirt! Bring any refreshments you'd like and a picnic blanket/similar for the concert. In past years there have been food carts at the concerts, too. Approx 4 mile ride. NOT a loop. Participate/ride at your own risk, you're welcome to leave at any point during the event or concert. Masks required if you want to dance closer than 6 feet apart. Thanks.
