Meet at 10:00am Ride at 10:30am
End location: NOT A LOOP. Ends Downtown Tigard
**Update: meet at playground! There is a shade structure. Bring water and sun protection. Possible Route detours! Dirksen Nature Park was closed! Detour may bypass bathrooms. There are some Porta Potties and bathrooms at the library. Trail is flooded under Scholls Ferry Road. It's about 5 inched of water and you *can* ride through but we will bypass for safety. Hello friends! Curious about the Fanno Creek Trail? It can take you from Garden Home (Beaverton/SW Portland) to the Tigard Library and beyond! 97% car-free Multi-Use Path (MUP) There are 2 short sections where we have to take the lane with sharrows or use the painted bike lane/sidewalk. (Crossing over 217 at Denney Rd is one area that we will ride on the sidewalk.) Kids that are strong riders can make this ride. A few hills. Might be best if kids can hop on your bike for some sections. (Cargo bike or kid trailer?) Will be passing by many playgrounds and parks if you want to leave the ride at any point. Bathroom stop at Dirksen Nature Park on the way. We'll turn around at end of Colony Creek Trail to end Downtown Tigard for lunch options. Take the 45 bus to beginning and end of ride. Tigard Transit Center is near end of ride. 10 miles. RIDE IS NOT A LOOP. Route link: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/39895270 The section under SW Scholl's Ferry Road may be flooded (Happens often) a slight detour may be needed up to traffic light on Scholl's Ferry road.
