*** Updates — Start time has been shifted earlier to avoid the heat. Also, bring swimwear if you want to cool off in the river at Milwaukie Bay Park after the market/before heading to Car(e)free Sunday. *** *Car(e)free Sunday edition* — come for the market, stay for the open streets! https://www.milwaukieoregon.gov/events/carefreesunday Inspired by (though only loosely affiliated with) the lovely PSU Farmers' Market ride on Saturdays, this will take a similar approach to the Milwaukie Farmers' Market on Sunday. There are 2 meetup locations: Colonel Summers Park, and Coco Donuts in Brooklyn (4790 SE Milwaukie Ave). * Meet at 9:45 am at Colonel Summers Park, and ride at 10:00am * Arrive at at Coco Donuts around 10:30 am, and leave at 10:45 am (or maybe a little later if we need more time to get donuts) From there, we'll skip the Springwater trail and ride "overland" from Brooklyn through Sellwood to Milwaukie, stopping to point out a couple of things along the way. The ride ends at the Milwaukie Farmers' Market (SE Main St & SE Harrison Street, Milwaukie). The market is open 9:30 am to 2:00 pm on Sundays from May to October; see https://milwaukiefarmersmarket.com for more info. Map of planned route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/37168508, approximately 6 miles (10 km). MAX service is nearby in downtown Milwaukie if you need to shorten your return ride. Riders are welcome to join or leave at any point during the ride or after reaching the farmers' market. After the market, riders are encouraged to join us for the nearby Car(e)free Sunday event (runs 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM). #PDXMarketRides
