On July 10, 2022, Martin Crommie was killed while riding his bike home after spending the day with his brother. Martin was a block from his house when years of inaction by the City of Portland to address continued and worsening vehicular and traffic violence made him the 31st victim to these forces in the eyes of the city. Martin was not a statistic. He was a Brother and he was our Neighbor. This ride is to honor his life. We will ride from Kenton to the space where Martin departed this plane. We will leave a Ghost Bike in his honor. We will share words about how the loss of Martin has affected us and how the City and PBOT need to respond to this very real threat to the lives of every Portlander whether we ride a bike, walk or drive a car. https://bikeportland.org/2022/07/15/remembering-martin-crommie-359493
