Wheels down 9:30, probably closer to 945
Ride is a loop
****delayed due to high river levels**** All day ride out to Rooster Rock State Park! Located in the Gorge, Rooster has an excellent disk golf course, bathroom facilities, many trails and full beach access. The eastern beach is the largest clothing optional beach on the west coast with a very swimmable lagoon to the sandbar. We meet at Laurelhurst park, West end of the lake, wheels down at 930. The 17 mile ride east is mostly flat, but the last 8 miles is on the shoulder of 84. Be prepared for amazing views and though fairly safe, there will be noise and debris. There will be a designated location to meet for a sunset return ride. If you are uncomfortable with nudity, stay on the western beach or up top. Bring beach supplies, food, water bottles, cable locks and anything else you think is important. Volunteers welcome with auto support, park fee applies for auto vehicles only. This will be a comfortable yet brisk pace, no drop, with a stop in Troutdale. Adult themed, no body shaming, everyone welcomed except creeps who will get booted. No volunteer auto support so pack in and Pack out! There will be a Fred Meyer Stop, a coffee shop stop and lunch by the Sandy River before we hit the last 8 miles there. Plan on leaving evening, possible dinner in Troutdale beforw heading back depending on group. The 77 Halsey bus runs until 10 pm.
