Ride is a loop
Let's celebrate the "official" last weekend of Pedalpalooza 2022 by piling all our family members - small, medium-sized, and/or furry - on our bikes and taking a tour of the central city's best bikeways and no-car bridges. We'll meet at the end point of the PSU Farmer's Market Ride for all those who want to visit the Farmer's Market first. From there, we'll take a no-drop, slightly winding route through NW, NE, SE and then zig-zag and loop back to our starting point. We will be visiting some of Portland's best bike infrastructure, including the Ned Flanders Crossing, the new Earl Blumenauer Bridge, Tilikum Crossing, the South Waterfront bikeway and Greenway, and Better Naito. Think of it as a scavenger hunt for fans of bike infrastructure! (Note, I will not be preparing an actual scavenger hunt, LOL) The pace will be casual with a few stops for family photos and of course, snacks. This route has some gradual hills but also natural collection points so we will not lose anyone. **Note on weather! As much as we want to celebrate biking as the best form of urban personal transportation, we will postpone or cancel the ride the week of if it is too hot, if air quality is poor due to wildfires, or if any other climate-change induced event forces our hand. We love our wee ones and want them to be safe! Also, climate change sucks!**
