brooklyn bloom club is a queer and BIPOC led mutual aid gardening group in SE Portland. We focus on increasing access to gardening and growing food at the intersections of racial, climate, disability, and gender justice while centering our joy. This ride will be about 7 miles starting at lower Brooklyn Park off of SE Milwaukie across from the Biketown station and ending at the future bloom club garden lot between SE 9th and Cora. We expect it will be about an 1.5 hours long with stops at the community gardens. This is an all paces and all ages welcome ride for queer and BIPOC community members - accomplices are welcome :) We will have cold drinks and snacks at the end of the ride at the lot if you want to kick it with us and learn a little more about our mutual aid gardening framework and part of what we’re working towards. Biketown is offering 10 $15 ride codes for this event to use their e-bikes. Please use one of these codes if you do not have access to a bike or if an e-bike increases the physical accessibility of participation.
