This bike ride during Portland's annual Winter Light Festival goes to light displays in SE Portland. This is the February ride for the SE chapter of BikeLoud PDX, but everyone is welcome to come on the ride. Included are the sequoias at Save the Giants Park, illuminated to the peak of their hundred-foot height. We also ride to the Goat Garden of Lights which features large gleaming crystals, glowing trees, and real -life goats. The length of the ride is 9 miles, with a no-drop, casual pace. Kids who can handle this length ride at night are welcome. We will stop at each venue to allow for picture taking. The ride ends at Oaks Amusement Park, which is also part of the Light Festival. Every ride and the midway will be fully illuminated, but it will be quiet, as the rides will not be in operation. Afterwards there will be an optional ride up the Springwater Corridor to the MAX station where the ride started. Then onward to the Electric Blocks venue at SE 2nd and Clay which will have several interactive art exhibits.
