Update Not a ride, this is a stationary class

Organizer Madi Carlson, The Street Trust

    Time Sat, Jun 3, 2023, 2:00 PM

Come learn all about bike camping with kids. We’ll cover gear, area campgrounds, routes, and more! No experience or equipment necessary, though experienced family bike campers are encouraged to come to hang out and share tips and tricks. You’ll leave this one-hour clinic inspired and ready to sleep amongst the trees and under the stars with your little ones. With free resource handouts and a helpful packing checklist! About the instructor: Madi Carlson is a long-time Kidical Mass family biking group ride and camping trip leader, Adventure Cycling Bike Overnight Ambassador for family biking trips, and Community Engagement Manager at The Street Trust where she currently leads bike camping trips for WeBike, The Street Trust’s program to inspire trans people of all genders, gender non-conforming people, Two Spirit, and women (both trans and cis) to incorporate a bike into their lives and use biking as a way to meet their transportation needs and personal goals. About The Street Trust: The Street Trust is a membership advocacy organization representing street users from across Greater Portland. The Street Trust advocates to break the political gridlock to address unsafe and incomplete public streets that threaten lives and livelihoods, and to win policy and investments that save lives, reduce barriers, and expand opportunities to the people and neighborhoods our current system neglects.
