Hi PDX bike community, My name is Emily and my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year, which has inspired me to lead a social ride for Pedal Palooza, for riders to come together to celebrate survivors as well as lives lost to breast cancer. This is your time to break out the pinkest attire you own, donate your hair (optional; see "Hair Donation Rules" below), and recognize/celebrate your loved ones' battle with breast cancer while enjoying bike miles with good company! Hair Donation Information (PLEASE READ IF DONATING HAIR): Hair cuts/donations will occur during a 1 hour slot between 6-7 p.m., so if you plan on donating, get there as early as possible! There will be 1-2 hair stylists volunteering their time to collect hair donations and simple trims. Donations will go to Wigs for Kids (https://www.wigsforkids.org/). Hair Donation Requirements: - Hair must be minimum of 12 inches (14 in is encouraged) - Non-chemically treated hair is preferred but any hair in good condition will be accepted - Gray hair is accepted - Hair must be clean and dry Remember to bring a helmet, water, bike locks, reflectives, lights, and stoke!
