Ride is a loop
Calling all fur friends and their humans to join the Corvidae Bicycle Club, Sunday, July 9th, at 2 pm at Peninsula Park by the gazebo, as we roll around town on a socially paced ride exploring some of Portland’s dog-friendly spots! This casual ride will be slower paced, and shorter ride than our normal rides with longer park stops to allow for pups to play and enjoy the day. You don’t need an animal to join, just a bike and love for our Portland pups. Dog-themed costumes or clothing are encouraged. Ride leaves at 2:45. The ride is a loop. Let’s make it a paw-fect day: - Always ask permission before petting someone else's dog - Bring plenty of water for your pets - Poop bags and pick up required - It's ok if you want to have your dog run alongside your bike but just make sure your pup can keep a pace of around 8mph for a few miles. Also, please check to asphalt temperature to make sure you are not going to burn your pup's paws. Otherwise, a pet carrier of some type is recommended - We will not be making any store stops so please come prepared About Corvidae Bicycle Club Monthly Bike Rides Join us for a Second Sunday Funday ride every month. Meet at the Peninsula Park Rose Garden Fountain or the Gazebo (weather-dependent) at 2PM. We roll out at 2:45PM. Each month is led by a different CORVIDAE member and therefore will be unique. We try to focus our rides on greenways, group etiquette, and silliness. In addition to bike safety and accessibility, we want to promote using bicycles as an alternative to fossil-fueled travel within Portland. This is a no-drop ride, but please bring your repair kit with a spare tube so we can keep the ride rolling. Please bring your own provisions; we’ll be stopping near stores, but not at them. Each member has an eye out for the crowd, will cork, sweep and be a general pillar of support. Ride pace is casual at around 10 miles with a few park stops. We aim to impress that this is a safe environment for all; no aggressive, sexist, racist, or any other kind of BS will be tolerated. Please review our Corvidae Code of Conduct on our FB main page or IG highlights.
