Portland Street Art Alliance and Pedalpalooza BIKE SUMMER

The Portland Street Art Alliance collaborated with Pedalpalooza BIKE SUMMER to create a mural to honor our friend, Rabbitt Fox, who died by suicide in June 2022. We'll bike to the unveiling of the huge, beautiful mural that Hayden (@chairboy_) meticulously hand painted at NE Broadway and 24th. Ride itself is around 45 mins of pedaling. Those unable to bike with us can meet at the mural at 6:15pm and cheer the riders on as we roll in. Meet the muralist, roll past Rabbitt's own art throughout the city, leave small bundles of flowers you've found at the mural, enjoy a beverage at Steeplejack, then roll to a nearby spot along the train tracks to hang. This mural is an incredible example of communities coming together. Even the neighboring businesses are showing their love with donations and support. Here are some of the ways locally owned shops are stepping up this day: * Steeplejack Brewing Company - offering 50% off beers to those coming to view the mural on the 30th and setting up a water station at the mural * Spielman Bagels - free bagels and schmear, plus a $25 gift card * Shop Merci Milo - 20% off all items in the store on the 30th * The Realm Refillery - 10% off the day of and day after * Spin Laundry Lounge - opening their doors to those who need to sit on a couch and enjoy some air conditioning for a bit, giving vouchers for free laundry, and donating 10% of their profits on August 30th to Rose Haven
