We're blessed to live in the eye of the fresh hop storm. And indeed, most Oregon breweries leverage their close proximity to the freshly-harvested wet hops from our northern neighbor Washington, brewing up the crispest, brightest beers you'll encounter this calendar year. If you didn't know, fresh hops only come available around Labor Day, and it's tough for breweries outside of the north/mountain west to promptly import and brew them. And these beers go fast—typically, it's tough to find them past October 1st, when seasonal taps are turned over to festbiers. Fresh hop beers come in many shapes & sizes! Not just IPAs. In this ride, I expect to encounter a fresh hop saison, kolsch, hazy, and even an oktoberfestbier. But the taps change quick, so no promises. **TENTATIVE ROUTE--CHECK BACK 24HRS BEFORE THE RIDE! IF TAPS RUN OUT, I'LL CHANGE THE ROUTE.** 4:00 PM—Meet at UPRIGHT BREWING (240 N Broadway) 5:00 PM—Arrive at EX NOVO BREWING (2326 N Flint) 6:00 PM—Arrive at STORMBREAKER BREWING (832 N Beech) Feel free to meet us at any stop. Pedestrians are welcome, too---the walk from Upright to Ex Novo is 9 minutes, then Ex Novo to Stormbreaker is 24 minutes. When there's fairweather and outside seating we'll default to that, but text/call 208-477-9828 if you can't find us.
