Ride is a loop
WeBike events are for anyone who does not benefit from cis male privilege. This includes but is not limited to trans men, trans women, cis women, agender, gender queer, gender fluid, gender nonconforming, and Two Spirit people. WeBike will ride to the end of the Springwater Corridor Trail in Boring! And then a little bit beyond to Liepold Farms' Fall Festival. NOTE: The ride is free, but the festival is $20, tickets available soon here: https://liepoldfarms.com/annual-fall-harvest-festival/ If you want to join us for just the ride out and then head back to Portland after our snack stop at the end of the trail, that's fine! We'll take the car-free multi-use path 14 mostly-flat miles and then ride half a mile of slightly uphill road shoulder to the farm. There are several restroom/water refill stops along the way and we'll stop for quick snacks in Gresham and at the end of the trail in Boring. RSVP to get the route: https://secure.everyaction.com/zHnoJqeUF0qTW3BPvfQIgA2 There is food to purchase at the festival, but you're also welcome to bring your own food. We'll stay at the farm for 2 hours before heading back. Read all about the festival here: https://liepoldfarms.com/annual-fall-harvest-festival/ And yes, there are pumpkins! Pumpkins are fun to transport by bike, and we'll bring some old innertubes to help tie them down to racks and baskets. Meet us in Gresham option: Want to cut the trip down to 7 miles each way? You can meet us in Gresham at Main City Park near the end of the MAX blue line. Please email madi@thestreettrust.org to coordinate! About WeBike WeBike is The Street Trust's program to inspire more trans people of all genders, gender non-conforming people, Two Spirit, and women (both trans and cis) to incorporate a bike into their lives and use biking as a way to meet their transportation needs and personal goals. We aim to dismantle the barriers of cycling through rides, knowledge-sharing events, meet and greets, and mentorship. The WeBike-Portland private Facebook group is a resource, hub, and a way to connect with others riding in the area. If you have any questions about biking or great biking tips you want to share, post them there! https://www.facebook.com/groups/WeBikePDX Find WeBike events on The Street Trust events calendar and shared to the WeBike Instagram and X (Twitter). https://www.thestreettrust.org/programs/webike/ http://www.thestreettrust.org/programs/events/ https://www.instagram.com/webikepdx/ https://twitter.com/webikepdx
