Ride is a loop
We are a group of BIPOC cyclists based in Portland, Oregon, and WE BELIEVE IN A FREE PALESTINE. This bike ride is part of a international BIG RIDE taking place in over 50 cities organized in conjunction with @gazasunbirds, @native_women_ride, @athletesforpalestine. This community bike ride aims to bring people together in a peaceful manner in solidarity with the Gaza Sunbirds and the Palestinian people as we continue to advocate for a PERMANENT CEASEFIRE and an END TO THE OCCUPATION. This ride is also intended to raise funds for aid efforts in Gaza and a local call to support Portland families evacuating from Gaza. The GAZA SUNBIRDS are a para-cycling team based in the Gaza Strip, made up of athletes who are disabled as a direct result of the Israeli occupation of Palestine. We join cyclists across the globe riding to uplift the lives of the Sunbirds, their right to joy, as well as the work and love they give to their community. Sickness Consciousness: MASKING IS ENCOURAGED Exact route will be shared morning of. We will begin and end at Irving Park (meet at south end at 1pm) and have dedicated corkers and sweepers. Expect to be on the road for approximately 1 hour on family-friendly streets of inner NE Portland, 5-6 miles. Bring Palestinian flags, signs and messages for a FREE PALESTINE, wear kiffiyehs and/or the colors of the Palestinian flag. Detailed post on instagram @warpaintmag
