Ride is a loop
We are a multi-faith group that supports a Free Palestine. We demand an immediate and permanent ceasefire, an end to the illegal occupation, and a stop to our tax dollars funding Israel's genocidal campaign. This ride is part of an international day of solidarity with the Gaza Sunbirds. The Sunbirds are a paracycling team whose members have been injured by Israel's genocidal attacks on Palestine. They are distributing critical aid to their communities - please donate to them! https://www.justgiving.com/page/savegaza Playlist will feature Palestinian artists. Speaker graciously provided by NakedHearts:PDX. 12 - 1 pm: Crafts at the covered starting point. Create birds of Gaza, make your own sign, and assemble zines. All are welcome to join us for crafts even if you can't go on the ride. 1 pm: Updates on recent actions in Portland & information about the ride, then depart for the bike ride Bring your Palestinian flags, keffiyehs, & signs for visible solidarity! Route is 9.5 miles. Social pace, no riders left behind. All wheels welcome. Masks strongly encouraged. Organizers will have extras on hand. Always ask for consent before touching another person or their belongings. If you experience or witness an issue, please alert a ride leader. Please do not attend if you are banned from other rides.
