Celebrate the COOLEST winter holidays in the HOTTEST season of the year! Wear a costume. Sing carols at the top of your lungs. Make pedestrians & drivers do a double-take and say, "Whaaaaaa..!?" I’ll load my trailer with ice cold drinks and a loud bluetooth speaker. My playlist has Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Christmas songs, but we can take turns if you BYOM. At the end of the ride, we’ll vote for best costume and best-decorated bike, with a prize for each winner. In previous years we've seen a Christmas tree & wreath on a trailer, beanie-baby dragons wearing Christmas hats, and riders dressed as Santa, elves, and that awesome character "Jack" from "The Nightmare Before Christmas.” That Jack is not to be confused with the person named Jack who leads the "Hi-Viz Ride" -- he'll lead his "Halloween in June" ride at the same time as this one. His Halloween ride always duels with our Winter Holidays ride, but in a good way. Meet at Holladay Park near Lloyd Center at 4:30 pm and optionally decorate your bike. As usual, I'll bring snow spray, holiday stickers, tinsel, etc. We'll meet with the "Halloween Ride" group, and both groups will ride together starting at 5 and be back at Holladay Park by 6, in time for riders to grab a bite (bring or buy your food) then meet up with the Inflatable Costume Ride that starts at 6:30 pm, also at Holladay Park.
