***UPDATED TIME! ** MEET 7pm ** RIDE 7:30pm*** If you love biking and coming-of-age comedies, you're gonna love this movie! "A working-class Indiana teen obsessed with the Italian cycling team vies for the affections of a college girl while searching for life goals with his friends." The much-deserved Oscar winner for Best Original Screenplay (and nominee for Best Picture, Director, Supporting Actress, and Score) stars Dennis Christopher, Dennis Quaid, Jackie Earle Haley, and Daniel Stern. Screenwriter Steve Tesich also wrote the criminally underseen American Flyers starring David Marshall Grant and Kevin Costner. We'll start with a couple laps around the track at Franklin HS (a tie-in to the movie's plot), then take Clinton down to the Eastbank Esplanade for a moment before turning back down to head east to the New Seasons on Hawthorne for snacks.
