Spells on Wheels is a progressive Magic the Gathering draft spread out across a few of Portland’s fabulous game and hobby shops. We’ll alternate drafting, deck-building and dueling with riding, building strategy, anticipation and friendships along the way! This ride is for folks who are familiar enough with Magic the Gathering to draft, build a deck and play a few rounds against other riders. Anyone and everyone who knows the game and is excited to play is invited. We will be drafting and playing with draft boosters from Dominaria United. If you have draft booster packs of DU that you can bring, please bring them. We’ll have some packs, too. If you’d like to keep the cards you draft, please bring $5-$10 (sliding scale) to contribute to the cost. You can also play for free and give the cards back when we're done. If you can bring basic lands to help fill out your deck, please do, though we will have some available to borrow for the day as well. MtG themed costumes are encouraged. Prize packs will be awarded to top performers and for best costume! Each of the stops on this ride serves food and drinks, including alcohol. Riders under the age of 16 are welcome, and will need a responsible adult accompanying them. Bring means of payment if you want to buy food and/or drinks. The ride is about 6 miles long and is not a loop. It is a no drop ride. We will meet at Irving Park at 11:00am and roll out at 11:15. Come on out for spells on wheels!
