Multiple stops & pickup points.
2:20 PM
Ride is a loop
A chained ride to learn how to ride to PDX, use the bike parking and check out the new terminal! ** Woodstock Meet Point around 47th and Steele ** This ride has several pickup points. We'll start at Woodstock park at 11:00, then aim for the following: Creston Park 11:30 ** Creston Meet Point near the playground & dog park ** Laurelhurst Park 12:00 noon ** Laurelhurst meet point at the furthest NE point where the trails split, near 39th and Ankeny ** Wilshire Park 12:45 ** Wilshire Park meet point NE corner, near 37th and Skidmore ** Fernhill Park 13:00 ** Fernhill Park meet point NE Corner 41st and Holman ** I plan to stick to these times as close as possible, if we end up running late I'll try to put up a newsflash message. Ride out time will be the above time +10m to allow folks to collect and join. We'll do the inner Portland route to the airport taking the 42nd flyover to cornfoot to my favorite bike parking spot (not the new path), then jump in and experience the new terminal. Depending on how the group feels we can grab some food at the airport or head back out and gather somewhere else! On the way back I'm taking the shortest route I know to Woodstock- The new path away from PDX to Alderwood to Cully Blvd, which leads to Halsey and then the 50s bikeway all the way back (or to your closest exit). A note about me, I'm a quarter-century Portland bike commuter, if you have a route you have questions on, I've probably ridden it and I'm happy to share my knowledge with you. Feel free to stop in the park to ask me questions or join us for some part of the ride! It should be a beautiful day.
