This Saturday! September 21st 3:30 PM Colonel Summers Park SE 20th & Belmont Celebrating and Honoring the 20th Anniversary of the World Naked Bike Ride in Portland! (*not associated or involved in any way with PDXWNBR, which took a year off) 20 years of us riders bringing attention to: 1. Our Vulnerability as cyclists 2. Our Dependence of fossil fuels 3. Body Positivity Bare as you dare . . . Hopefully we won’t have to still be protesting in another 20 years! 🚲❤️ Diablo “THIS YEAR’S RIDE Join us on SEPTEMBER 21st at Colonel Summers Park in SE Portland. Meet at 3:30pm, ride begins at 4:15pm. There will be live bands and DJs when the ride ends! Why: More to come, but this year, 2024, we protest against Zenith Energy and call for action by DEQ and the city and state to protect residents, The Columbia Gorge and hundreds of miles of fragile environments, as well as residents of the city of Portland and the communities along the routes these trains pass through. We also seek greater protection for the workers, Union members, Engineers and freight workers who would be the first impacted by an accident. Safety: We are first responsible for ourselves and then others around us. Please ensure, you’ve water/food, a bike in good working order and please be conscious of drinking or any drug use and the increased risk it can put you and others at. By taking part in the ride you acknowledge you are responsible for yourself and accountable for your actions towards others and their property.” This ride is unaffiliated with PDXWNBR, Pedalpalooza or Umbrella.
