Hello bikey people, Requesting your trailers and cargo bikes! Come help us schlep our stuff approx. 2 miles into Northeast! Due to upcoming major renovations, our landlord has ousted us from our duplex / castle at 16 NE 17th Ave (adjacent to Burnside). All must go! We'll gather for a couple hours, get people set with caffeine and snacks, and orient everyone as we load up our bikes. *************** SUNDAY APRIL 6 ! MEET @ 16 NE 17th AVE. 11:30-1:30pm: ARRIVE, ORIENT, AND LOAD UP 1:30pm DEPART! *************** We're a rad, community-oriented household, disrupted by capitalism - but we're very happy to have found our awesome NEW house! It's near the corner of NE 33rd & Stanton. Thankfully for the task at hand, it's located before the climb up Alameda ridge! We'd love your help and we deeply appreciate whatever you might be able to offer. Community makes everything possible. Moving can be fun! Our stuff will be packed up and ready to load! There'll be a couple hours to gather and figure out who's taking what, and there will be coffee & snacks available before departure around 1: 30. Plus we'll have pizza/beer/cider etc at the end. WHAT WE'LL HAVE TO HAUL: There's furniture, small and large. Two couches, a loveseat, bookshelves, and dressers are the biggest items. There are beds and box springs as well - we'll haul what we can haul together on Sunday, and leave what we can't to be moved another day. There are lots of midsize bins and boxes, and smaller items as well. And even if you only can strap a few things to your rack or just come ride along with us & provide moral support, we'd love to have you for the experience! We'll plan to ride together, as slowly as the slowest pace. It's a very flat route, and I'll have a practical, fun, low-traffic route so the ride is as smooth as possible... It's been years since I've participated in one of these, and I've never posted a request for one. Maybe there are more details that would be helpful to share?
