Unfortunately this ride was cancelled because of the weather but the reason for the ride remains! Amythest here, the leader of the Chappell Roan Ride from earlier in the summer. If you've ever enjoyed a NakedHearts ride you know how much time and effort goes into these things. Moorland and the rest of us volunteer our time but that doesn't mean expenses don't arise. NakedHearts hosts or facilitates at least 140 rides a year, and with that comes some maintenance costs. The main trailer weighs about 120 pounds and the continual use puts strain on all of the components of the main bike. This fundraiser also helps fund things like more sound bikes as the rides get larger and larger, and repair kits including things like tires and tubes for when people experience issues on the rides! Moorland and all of the volunteers at NakedHearts have created a space of joy and belonging where we can all be kids on bikes and feel the freedom to play. Please- if you've been on one of these rides or hundreds over the years, please consider even donating $5. It goes a long way towards helping continue my personal favorite part of Portland!
