Ride is a loop
Monday, May 26th is my 44th birthday -- therefore I, Máximo, will be your ride leader on this special Mellow Monday AND taking y'all on an awesomely fun birthday celebration ride. I didn’t think I’d be riding again for a few months, due to surgery back at the end of March. Thankfully I’m healed up and ready to celebrate with a birthday ride. Join me for 44 wheels of joy (give or take a few spokes) as I celebrate another lap around the sun on this floating space rock. This year the celebration is on wheels and with all of YOU! 🥳💫 We’ll be cruising at a chill pace of 7-8 mph, perfect for chatting, vibing, and maybe shedding a tear or two (from the wind, obviously). The 11 mile route (with store stop & restrooms) is more about good company than cardio but the playlist will have you feeling feels and make ya move. Bring your good vibes, your brightest lights and just show up. Expect laughter, a song to singalong while riding, and maybe a surprise or two. Now for the cheese factor, it’s not just a ride - it’s a rolling reminder that life is better when we ride together. 💖🚴♂️ Come for the birthday, stay for the joyride. Let’s make some wheely good memories! ----------------- NakedHearts: PDX hosts weekly themed rides. Different ride leaders each week, but you can expect the ride to be social paced (8ish mph), no-drop, safe and welcoming, store stop with safe clean bathroom access and the ride is always a loop. We practice consent and non-violence specially with car interactions, what one ride does affects how all rides get treated. Instagram username is NakedHearts.pdx so you can see how we ride. The Mellow Mondays are a space for ride leaders (new & seasoned) to try out ideas in a very supported environment. We follow the Shift code of Conduct. We expect everyone to be respectful of themselves and others around them. This is so we can actually relax and have fun and connect with each other in a softer space. This isn’t a sober ride but we ask for moderation to keep the atmosphere relaxed. We recommend Abraham Fixes Bikes on N. Williams and NomadCycles (e-bike specialist) for repairs/sales and parts. Our friends over at RideSafePDX host regular ride and we recommend those as a pleasant warm group to ride with.
