August 14th is World Lizard Day!! So obviously let’s get on our bikes, bask in the sun (like a lizard) and absorb this beautiful day dedicated to them scaley dudes!!! The agenda will include: -Craft time! We'll be making beaded lizards before the ride. -Bike riding time! Route tbd, but it will be a loop and likely 8-10 miles. -Fun facts! Throughout the ride we’ll stop at lizardy locations where I’ll share with the class some super fun and dorky facts about lizards, frogs, and herps in general. -Snack time! (ie: a store stop) Let’s celebrate the chuckwalla! Geek out over geckos! Wiggle like a weirdo over whiptails! Ignite your passion over iguanas! We can even leap for joy for legless lizards! (lol) Snake lovers, croco/gator kids, and amphibian cuties are always welcome too. All things ectothermic! Especially if they have no eyelids? Oh yeah, I’m into that lol. (And please don’t bring your reptile on this ride!! Don’t make me detour to your house to drop them off. Because I will!!)
