On 8/31, an international flotilla launches on a mission to break the siege of Gaza. On 9/7, the boats will be well on their way and it's crucial that the world is watching. So: grab a Palestinian flag and decorate your bike like a boat, then come along on a flotilla-themed ride & march! We'll meet at Laurelhurst Park and take a conversational-pace ride to Salmon Street Springs, listening to songs about water and liberation as we go. At Salmon Street Springs there will be a rally and a short march (bikes are encouraged to jump in and help cork) which will take us to a venue where we will do a livestream with crew members on the Flotilla. The Sumud Flotilla is an incredible historic event and we're beyond grateful for the crew members who are willing to wake up in the middle of the night (9 hour time difference) and livestream to us here in Portland. You don't wanna miss it!
