Look, I know you don’t regularly dress up but it’s the 30 year anniversary of this classic joint, you ain’t got no job, and you ain’t got sh!t to do! Join @djgregoryt, @lovergirl.pdx @iamlcmiller and me for this special bike and skate collaboration Friday theme party. Dress up as your favorite Friday movie universe character (Felicia, Pinky, Dada, any of the trilogy movies) and party with us while we play classic Westcoast Hip-Hop, Funk and R&B. You have the option of skating with DJ Gregory T for this unique installment of Music and Friends directly at Boise Elementary. Or cruise your way down with me on bikes at Peninsula Park also starting at 7pm and merge with the party at Boise-Eliot Elementary close to 8pm. While this event is set to be a good time, it’s our responsibility to keep each other safe. Follow the code of conduct that’s on the Shift2bikes calendar aka this is like going to someone’s home you like; don’t forget your manners mama taught us. Let’s be conscious about drinking or smoking if you do choose to indulge; you need to be in good shape to make it back to your crib. We will be stopping the music at 9pm and with the help of Stanley’s projector, we will be screening the movie itself afterwards. Please feel free to bring snacks, blankets or any picnic items. Lastly, this collaborative event is free however, a $5 donation is suggested to offset the permits and equipment cost. No one will be turned down from attending if you don’t have the funds but is appreciated. Hope to see y’all out there, watch out for Debo.
