Come celebrate the change of seasons with the flavors of Italia at the Pasta Ride! Meet at Laurelhurst Park at 5pm (Picnic Table F) for the first course: a casual antipasti and social hour. Riders are welcome to bring something light to share for this round - think olives, artichokes, sun dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, bruschetta, fruit or anything you'd serve before a big Italian dinner. At 6pm sharp, we'll roll out for a leisurely 5.8 mile ride ending at beautiful Overlook Park just in time for sunset and the main course: a family style potluck pasta dinner! Bring your favorite Italian dish to share; spaghetti with marinara, pasta primavera, pesto pappardelle, ravioli al funghi, lentil bolognese, stuffed manicotti to get your mind and appetite going. The ride leaders are vegan so count on a few plant-based options being available but omnivore dishes also welcome! Late summer harvests of tomatoes, zucchini, eggplant, green beans and basil go great in pasta. Early fall arrivals of mushrooms, pumpkin, butternut squash and Tuscan kale also go great in pasta. Pretty much anything goes with pasta. Bring your own plate/bowl/cup/utensils and a dish to share. Good food, good company, good vibes guaranteed. Other helpful things: serving tongs/utensils, camping lanterns or other portable lighting, corkers for the main streets (Burnside, Sandy, Broadway, King, Interstate) This is a no drop ride that follows the Shift Code of Contact. Buon appetito! https://ridewithgps.com/routes/52767567
